Synopsis:From the legendary Studio Ghibli and based on the beloved novel by acclaimed writer Astrid Lindgren (Pippy Longstocking), comes the epic 26-part story of a ten-year-old girl born on a stormy night in a mountain fort, surrounded by her parents and a loving band of robbers.Ronja grows to be a strong and active girl, and discovers that the forest is both a beautiful and frightening place inhabited by strange creatures. She befriends the son of her father's rival and so begins the drama of her friendship and family loyalties. Big fan of studio ghibli

Beautifully illustrated series in which children come first.
This is bright and positive. Central in the series is the world as seen through the eyes of children, which is so refreshing. The world of adults plays a secondary role to the deep friendship between two children that develops. Although they are a girl (Ronja) and boy (Birk) their relationship is not sexualised and they are not their to represent their respective genders. They are themselves, enjoying being alive and equally capable. The tempoy is perfect too.About being dubbed: I see this as a plus. It means young children, who can't read, cant watch this.

Ronja beautifully made anime
My wife and I (both in our 60s) are Ghibli fans we both enjoyed the series 26 episodes gave the characters chance to develop. In fact we were sad when we reached the last episode, we will be watching it again is was very entertaining and faithful to the book.

Anime set of tales of Ronja, the daughter of a robber
This DVD gives you a set of animated episodes of a young child growing up in a wild forest area - each short story comes separately titled, which soon gets a little tedious if watching in one go, but the simple stories may well hold the attention for a youngster... sadly not the case in our household.

Fabulous film for kids and adults
Bought this for my granddaughter who is just 4, although we originally watched some of it on Amazon Prime Fire stick. Fabulous film and approved my Mum who likes things to be non gender specific !!
