I’ve purchased two of these lights over the past two years and the design has changed from the early version I purchased. The early version would turn off when light hit the solar panel and turn back on when it got dark, the newer version has a timer function that starts when you turn on the lights or select time on the remote and the lights stay lit regardless of if light hits the panel or not. The timer function starts again 24 hours after the lights were turned on or when the timer is selected on the remote. I was in the process of returning the second string I had bought thinking they were defective when my replacement string came and they operate exactly as the sting I was going to return. Other than this confusing timer feature I really like these string lights and they worked very well on a week long camp trip as I had them strung around the campsite which gave a nice subtle glow.

These lights are the best solar lights ever. We have the 9 socket size.We put them in our greenhouse/pool house. The solar panel just sits behind my curtain and comes on automatically every nigh. I put 2 pictures of the 2 of the 3 different brightness. We don’t need it on the brighter setting and it’s so cosy to see it lit while in the pool.I highly recommend them. I just purchased longer sets for around our yard. Those are the 16 socket ones.The solar panel is large heavy and comes with a USB PORT. For power outages it could be very handy.UPDATE: we got a couple more sets for the yard..love them too…only one issue.One remote does ALL SETS..I can’t have them on different settings..or turn them off independently.

We used two sets of 100 to light a 20 x 40 outdoor dance floor for my daughter's wedding, and it gave nice mood lighting. With them being solar, they won't be as bright as corded lights (we had some of those up as well, and they were DEFINITELY brighter) but we could see well enough. We strung them up around a concrete pad, so they sometimes got dropped on the concrete, but none ever broke, so they're definitely durable! My only complaint was that they were a pain to untangle.

Got these as a house warming gift for my sister. They are easy to put up. The light quality is decent! Not too heavy and have been holding up well in the rainy Washington state weather.

Love these. Bought them for camping but ended up using them in my backyard. Love that they are solar and just automatically turn on.

These are great around my fire pit area. We purchased 3. I love the different modes and the bright mode is indeed bright enough to light up my area. Easy to set up and love the shatterproof bulbs. Stands up well against rain. Minus a star because I find that sometimes the lights will turn on by themselves and I don't want to burn out the bulbs quicker than necessary.
