SCRIVI PENS Fountain Pen Set, Fine Nib, 5 Ink Cartridges, Black

I have been buying fountain pens for a few years now. I am a writer who still hand writes their bulk of their material and that's a lot. I sometimes write up to 50 or so pages in a day so I know fountain pens. I was blown away by this pen. It's heavy enough that you know it's quality. I love the neat look of the extra fine nib. The ink flows perfectly without blotting or having to restart the flow. It writes so smoothly. Honestly, it makes me want to write more . The price is a steal. This is quality and value. Glad to have purchased. Will be looking for more from this company.

I got the Medium Nib which has a line width of 0.7mm. I've already gone thru the blue ink and am almost done with the black ink cartridge. The pen takes international standard cartridges be it short or long in length. The SCRIVI pen has written smoothly on a variety of surfaces ranging from everyday paper to fountain pen friendly paper. With that said, ink drying time varies depending on the type of paper I'm using. So far, the Tomoe River S paper in the Hobonichi Notebook along with Pen & Gear's mini filler paper has slightly longer drying times -- only a few seconds longer. Once the ink is completely dry, you can at least go over it with highlighters. As another bonus, I really like how the tip doesn't dry out. On several too many occasions I've forgotten to recap the pen when not in use -- the longest was 5-minutes. Will have to look into the ink more as it's really nice to work with .

I'm no fountain pen expert (this is my first fountain pen), but I like how this pen writes. The Extra Fine nib size looks very similar to the line thickness you'd get from a basic ball-point pen. Like the other reviewers, though, I'm disappointed that the package only came with 2 ink cartridges instead of the 5 they claim in the description. As a beginner, this really isn't enough to get started. I filled out a 125mm x 195mm (5in x 7.25in) page with writing and it used up 1/6th of an ink cartridge. If you plan on buying this, also buy a pack of cartridges or a bottle of ink. EDIT: I've written with it more, even drew with it on Mixed Media paper (the ink takes longer to dry on it than other paper I tested), and the ink cartridge lasts longer than I expected it to. The sellers also reached out to provide me a full refund for not providing the 5 ink cartridges, but I refused. I still like the pen and plan to continue using it (I even bought some ink to try with it once I used up an ink cartridge).

Didn't actually try the pen because I returned it because the blue wasn't what I was expecting. I was looking for more of a cobalt or royal blue but this was a bit closer to navy for me. nice weight though

UPDATE: absolutely the best customer service I’ve had in years. Without hesitation, they are sending me a new pen as I couldn’t get the ink to flow in yhe one I bought-after trying everything. If you like fountain pens, get one from Wordsworth and Black. They actually do the right thing in customer care.! I purchased this product in August, received it August 18. Been trying to use it ever since, I just can’t get the ink to flow. I dip it in water, I clean it out, over and over. It’s very frustrating. I am a sketch artist and use multiple fountain pens as to not have to change nibs constantly. Anyway, I really hate that this doesn’t work effectively. I really don’t know what to do with it. I mean if the ink doesn’t flow then what good is it really.

I have a couple of other Wordsworth and Black fountain pens that I am happy with, so I thought I would give this one a try. I ordered this one in EF and it writes beautifully! I will ask for the same in black for Christmas so that I have a blue and black pen and don't have to change cartridges. For less than $25, this is a great value!!! It feels great in my hand and writes clear and smooth with no skips from just the first few strokes after putting in the blue ink cartridge. The ink cartridges included as a little thinner than the barrel, so they are easy to insert and you can hear (and feel) the click when it seats correctly. It took some pressure to insert the cartridge, but not an unusual amount. The description and one photo are inaccurate. The description says it comes with 5 ink cartridges. One photo shows the whole package and says 3 ink cartridges and points to the box of ink cartridges. Look closer at the photo and the box clearly says on it "2 PCS" - 2 cartridges. You do indeed receive the box as shown with only 2 ink cartridges. Mine came with one black and one blue cartridge. I ordered a larger box of ink cartridges in the past from Wordsworth and Black, so not a big deal for me, but it does only come with 2. My 5 stars is based on the review of the pen, not the wrong number of ink cartridges sent.

I think I have spent in total $100 in looking for the best fountain pen worth my money. I was just about ready to settle for cheap disposable pens when by happenstance I saw this pen trending on reddit. I was skeptical, but I tried it anyways. The pen worked straight away. No need to dip in water nor water seal the end cap. The ink capsules appear to be among the Pentel style. The pen looks nice and sounds too. The only thing I could think of that would make this pen better if it came with a solid grip or it had a better textured grip. For the money, its well worth for artists and Caligraphers alike.

So far what I have here is a pen that wrote fairly well, but not great, for about a day. Then it sat for a while and hasn't worked as a writing utensil since. There is next to no ink flow and the nib runs rough across the page instead of gliding. I paid far less for a Pilot pen and it writes like a dream and was a much better value for the money. I also tried to get service through the website, but to no avail. The link to the service site was no longer active. Overall, very dissatisfied with this purchase. Will not purchase a Scrivi pen again.

Just a waste of money

Estoy contento con la compra, han pasado muchos meses y sigue escribiendo muy bien. Tiene muy buen tacto, al cogerla la sensación es buenas, tanto por los materiales como por su peso. CALIDAD PRECIO PERFECTA!

It is lovely to write with, when it has a brand new cartridge. As soon as the cartridge is a little empty, or you let it sit for any time at all it dries up and doesn't work. Its heavy and well weighted but such a picky little thing that it'll end up just being a display piece on my desk. Very sad.
