With the change of weather my poor pooches pads were so dry and cracked. Within a few days of double applications, you only need a small amount as it definitely goes a long way, his paws look and feel so much better, there are no rough patches anymore and his pads are nearly fully recovered. Once they are fully recovered i will apply 2-3 times a week to keep on top of them. Would highly recommend so glad i bought it and my pooch loves having the balm put on.

I’d never heard of Musher's Secret Pet Paw Protection Wax, until my cousin recommended it as he’d used on both his dogs the previous Winter. Therefore, I decided to buy it for my two Shetland Sheepdogs to protect their paws during the Winter, (especially when the councils use rock salt when they grit the roads). This protects your dog’s paws from ice and salt, sand and hot pavements, (when we get a hot Summer, which is rare in this country). It’s 100% natural wax based cream. I was nicely surprised that it’s not too greasy and has a slight fragrance, (which soon disappears). The formula contains vitamin E, which helps to moisturize your dog’s paws, helps to heal wounds and helps to keep their paws healthy. You’ll find it’s very easy to apply to your dog’s pads and in-between their toes, (claws), as that’s were rock salt, ice and sand can linger. I apply this every time they go out for a walk during the Winter, even more so when there’s rock salt about as the chemical can burn in-between your dog’s toes, (claws). If it gets lodged there and penetrates their skin (as we found our last Winter), they can get a nasty sore which needs a vets attention as it can get infected, (which they need antibiotics for). Here’s a tip, to stop your dog from even thinking about licking it’s paws after you put it on, put the mushers secret on just before you go out, (we’ve found that works), as it takes their mind of it. Once you’ve returned from walking your dogs, wipe over their paws and in-between their toes to remove the rock salt, (ice and sand) they might have picked up on their walk. I use a sensitive baby wipe, (which are usually cheaper than dog wipes) and then I use their dog towel to dry their feet. I’m so glad we found out about this as it really works, (was fantastic during the snow period in December last year), now I wouldn’t be without it, as it’s certainly helped to keep our dog’s paws safe during the cold weather. I can highly recommend this product. :-)

Our dog has tried lots of similar creams but this is the first that has made a noticeable impact in the space of a fortnight. It's quite expensive for the amount you get but it works so to me it's worth the money. Would recommend.

Our new rescue dog was in poor-ish condition and had really cracked, rough pads. After a long walk or a run about on the grass she would nibble her feet and was clearly uncomfortable. Soaking with very dilute bicarb of soda made some difference to the itchiness, but didn't reduce the cracking. This stuff works - it is pleasant smelling and easily applied, a thin film applied every day, at first, (to the pads and between them) and now every couple of days has made her more comfortable, reduced foot chewing (and therefore hot spots) and seems to stop mud from balling up and sticking between her pads as well. The larger cracks are still there and will I suspect be slow to heal - but the roughness is much reduced. Unlike Vaseline it seems to be easily absorbed so no patches of stickiness on the floor. Four weeks on and we have a happier dog. June -update. This stuff really works - the large cracks in her pads are gone as is the rough, flaky surface. She tore a pad recently and applying this seemed to speed healing and certainly stopped her nibbling it as it healed. Once a week now for maintenance - though I'll go up to every few days again in winter when the salt is on the ground. She likes the process as well and lies on her side to get her feet done. The pot still has lots in it - so good value too. December update - what great stuff. Plenty left in the pot and today it proved its value once again. She came in from a long walk in the woods in the rain and started to do the itchy foot dance (racing round, pawing at the carpet, biting her feet and then racing again) despite having dried her feet. A quick soak in dilute bicarb in case she had walked in something toxic, a good dry and a coat of Musher's Secret. She curled up, sighed and went to sleep. November 2016 update! Just finished the first pot and ordered a second. Really good value for money.

This is amazingly good.. first read about this amazing product first.. I never believe what they reviews say I do my own research on the Internet.. This is an amazing product Ford you dog paws you dogs pads get dry then they crack which can cause your dog to feel so uncomfortable we all know dogs can not tell you this in winter this is a must to have the freezing cold winter months can cause a lot of damage to your dogs paws the salt is a very bad thing in winter.. Imagine you had a cut on your had the put salt on the cut its going to make you loving dog feeling sore and in pain same in summertime hot weather on the paths. Concrete. Hard services with there paws drying and cracking your loving dog could get a infection in the Open cracks.. For the price it cost it a lot cheaper than going to the vets with the pads on the paws being pain ful and sore.. There reason I am writing about this produced because one my Yorkshire Terrier paws have never been so good no cracking no drying out. this is amazing I tried many many of these products for my little dog.. This is the best by a long way..i did read that this was.made for the Huskies in the Snow to stop them getting frost bite when they where pulling the sledges in the Canadian..Mountains ....

Great product, highly recommend for anyone who has a dog with soft paw pads. Our spaniel has allergies Mushers has worked its secret to help heal and form a barrier against ailments

I have never written Amazon feedback before but felt I had to share my experience with this balm. My dog and I have taken up cycling as a hobby, we often ride on various surfaces and face different elements. I was concerned about my dogs pads when we began as they were cracked and he often refused to let me touch them once his adrenaline wore off. We know dogs often push through pain when they’re focused and having fun. I bought this balm and I can honestly say the pad cracks are barely visible anymore, his pads are soft, he doesn’t lick the balm, and it absorbs fast so isn’t left on my bedding or carpet! He is happier and his pads are less sensitive to the touch and they’re smooth

Schade, daß es (derzeit?) nicht auf Amazon erhältlich ist - läßt sich auch bei kalten Temperaturen gut auftragen, erfüllt im Winter tadellos seinen Zweck: keine Schnee-, Eisklumpen zwischen den Ballen & Zehen (im Gegensatz zu sonstigen Hausmittelchen wie Vaseline oder Kokosfett) und reibt sich nicht zu schnell ab (einmaliges Auftragen reicht auch für lange Schnee-Spaziergänge) Einziges Manko: keine Inhaltsstoffe angegeben?!

It's so good that even the dog loves to lick on it LOL. But in all seriousness, this is good quality paw balm. Helps keep those paw pads nice and soft. It smells good and it's a nice size packaging. We use it every day and still have half of it left after almost half a year. Definitely worth the price.

I bought this product because I have slippery wooden floors and an old dog who struggles to get a grip on it. I read a claim online that this product would help. It didn't make an ounce of difference. If anything it made the situation worse.

Prodotto eccellente! Consiglio di usarlo un giorno si ed uno no in quanto idrata molto e crea un film che preserva i polpastrelli dell'animale. Massaggiare i polpastrelli con dose generosa. Il risultato saranno polpastrelli lisci quasi setosi e morbidi dopo la prima applicazione. Non macchia pavimenti e nel caso delle lenzuola dopo il lavaggio non restano aloni. Suggerisco di applicarlo la sera prima di andare a dormire in modo che penetri durante la notte. Al mio adorato bracco tedesco ha tolto la rugosità dei polpastrelli e chiuso definitivamente alcuni piccoli solchi che aveva sulla cute.
