South to East White Bed Canopy for Girls with Glowing Stars

First a little backstory. Last year (according to my Orkin guy) a truckload of elms infested with tiny elm beetles passed through our region. While the trees moved on, the beetles moved in. Our area has been inundated with with tiny little nasties for the last two summers. They collect on your windows and enter into your rooms through gaps in the screens. And. I. Hate. Them!!!!! At the start of the season I was killing at least 70 bugs just before bed, closing my window (no AC either...), and mummifying myself in a sheet until daylight. A few nights I was up until 4 in the morning with a squirt bottle of rubbing alcohol (a precious commodity these days, but the only thing I knew that would kill them), blasting them off the window, curtains, walls, ceiling, light fixtures myself, and the bed. I was losing my mind. Then, I had a revelation one day and remembered the bug nets that people put over their beds in other countries where mosquitoes are prevalent. I found this net canopy (I had to go with the glowie stars because who wouldn't?!) and it has been a godsend! It fits over my entire queen-sized bed, and flows down to the floor. I had to make myself a make-shift head board because it did drape over our faces the first night, but it was easy to just push it behind a piece of fabric covered cardboard to angle the curtain as we wanted it. The opening overlaps to keep the bugs out, and, best of all, it works! The beetles (and other bugs, though the netting is wide enough for some small gnat sized critters, but I am talking bugs the size of the pin head)) can't get on my bed and I have finally felt comfortable leaving the window open and falling asleep. The glowing stars are actually very calming and fun to look at. I bought this canopy a least a month ago and the stars are still glowing and have not peeled off. Overall, I am ecstatic with this product. It has so many possible uses, functional and decorative. Some other uses could be fore keeping bugs out while camping, dorm room decor, kids rooms for sure, or even as a romantic bed draping or wedding decor. But, if you are having bug problems, get it!

Nice quality for pricing

Had my reservations due to the price. However, I was not disappointed. The bed is well made with one caveat, the slats are too widely spaced apart for the mattress. We had a solution for that though. Once you can cross that hurdle, would recommend buying.

Product itself is fine. Unfortunately our room had a ceiling fan directly in the mide of the room so we had to figure out how to make it work around the fan which messed with the look a little bit but daughter still loved the outcome. Comes with hooks and ties to connect to ceiling. I also used a staple gun to make it tighter instead of the sagging look.

Love this! Really easy to set up and just put over top of canopy and drape down. Use ribbons to tie back. Super cute and romantic for a room!

Like the net but the measurements they give are not correct. We have a canopy frame that is inches smaller in each way but the canopy is STRETCHED beyond the top seamed rectangle. It works but it’s not as pretty as it should be. We bought this to actually use for mosquitoes not just for the look so we like that its long sides touch the ground. I do wish it had some kind of weight to the bottom so it didn’t flap in the breeze if even just a fan. I bought magnets to use with it to keep it closed-and that helps big time. Could be a tad tougher it snags really easily.

Absolutely fantastic! My daughter loves the colour, glow in the dark stars and how it fits her bed. Can not recommend enough. This replaced one from Tamu that was very cheaply made.

Lovely curtains. Correct sizing for double bed. Has little tags on L for long and M for medium to show which way the curtain should hang which was really helpful. Sits nicely on the bed frame. Lots of curtain in length to hang on the floor
