Functional, aesthetic bench. Great as an area to catch items or to serve as a place for a small suitcase yo be open on. Construction easy, pieces fit well. Wood color is very nice. Very sturdy and functional for seating. Great value and very versatile in use.

It comes ready to assemble, with very brief instructions. It went together fully and easily, with a few parts left over. I noted that I used all the parts I needed, so I was unconcerned to have a washer & 3 screws left over.It looks good, felt sturdy and functional. It was light, but did the job well. It looks good, and a good value for the money.

This is not exactly a ready-to-use piece of furniture. It has a rough top surface with very obvious score lines, and it is stained but not varnished. I did need to sand the top down to remove the splinters and smooth the surface, and apply a couple coats of varnish, but once that was done this looks fabulous. It was the perfect size, nice simple style, and is indeed actual lightweight wood. Just what I needed for my massage therapy space.

We have no drop zone where we enter our house but we have this tiny pass through between the kitchen/great room to dining room that I've decided to turn into a drop zone for shoes (eventually will put up beadboard and coat hooks with a small shelf). This bench is the start. I got lucky and bought it on sale for 20% off. I never would have paid $80 had I known it was made with balsa wood. Although after assembly I was pleasantly surprised with it's sturdiness. It took less than 30 minutes to assemble by myself. The instructions are odd and aren't really directions as much as illustrations. Nonetheless it was easy. As you can see from the pictures, the top surface has this odd distressing in an attempt to make cheap wood to look like a rough sawmill slab that I wasn't impressed with. I'm not in love with the color either. I may try to either stain it darker or paint it. It's definitely not a focal point in the house or would likely return it. It is suitable for what I need though.

So impressed with this cute little bench! It seems to be real wood, but is lightweight. Very easy to assemble (and I’m terrible with that stuff). It was the perfect addition to m entryway. Great value compared to some others I was considering at Pottery Barn and even Wayfair.

A great fit for my front door entry. Easy to use and put in my shoes each day. Looks good and easy to assemble. I would recommend and buy this again.
