Every time I tried to sweep our kitchen floor, my 20-month grandson would try to take the broom from me because he wanted to sweep. I finally decided maybe I should buy him a broom and dustpan that was more his size. I went online and read the reviews on several different brooms for children. This broom seemed to have the best reviews. My grandson and I are both very happy with this broom. He uses it every day and then he puts it back in his special place next to the wooden barrel in my kitchen. It appears to be quite sturdy. Now if I get my broom out, he also gets his broom to help me.

The dust pan broke on first use. I posted that comment and two days later in the mail was a new dust pan, which is still in one piece. Thanks for the replacement.

Just received the broom, dustpan and mini sweeper for my 1 1/2 year old grandson and couldn't be more pleased! The colors are vibrant, the items are well made and sturdy, and the size is perfect for little ones just starting to walk and wanting to help Mom and Dad or Nana and Grandpa with clean up. I would highly recommend this item as a starter set as it also helps with coordination, balance and the concept of helping. (The other brands are too big and heavy or have too many items that will just get scattered all over the house.) This package is perfect and you get excellent quality for the price.

This is a kids toy and kids toys end up everywhere except where they should be. So, inevitably it will be stepped on. I weigh 190 lbs and stepped on this toy accidentally. The plastic guard where the bristles meet the handle breaks easily because it is too hard of a plastic, making is slightly softer and more plyable would be beneficial, yet still maintain integrity and usability. The handle is a hollow aluminum so once it gets bent it just ends up crinkling and breaking on the next use.So, moral of the story... children haven't changed since I was a kid and toys are never put away... this breaks relatively easy when an adult male steps on it in the dark with bare feet and colorful language... I can't say I expected anything more for the price. Lastly, my kid loved it while it lasted and since he now tries to use the adult broom to clean I can only hope we had enough time to trick him into believing that cleaning is fun, so at least there may be one solid win for team "Laughing Lettuce Children's Broom".

In the interest of getting my kids involved in chores I bought this cute set. It's the perfect size and I love that one can use the standard broom and the other can use the hand broom and dustpan. The hand broom isn't too tight of a fit into the dustpan for my kids to separate them or put them back together. Of course, they prefer to use them pretending they're painting the walls, but eventually I'll get them focused on the floor. I found another hand broom/dustpan set at the Dollar Tree a couple of days ago (a sturdier plastic, too), so the price for this now seems a bit much but it is harder to find a standard broom the right size for a toddler. Overall, I think this will help me get my kids engaged so I am happy with my purchase.

My almost 4 year old is really into cleaning and had been asking for a broom and dustpan set for months. I ordered this one in plenty of time for Christmas. It came packed in a box with another (heavy) item and the plastic section of the broom was crushed. I chalked it up to poor packing and reordered/returned the first one. The second one arrived in its own box, so no problems. HOWEVER: I wish I would have put more thought into how the broom section shattered... Within the first few minutes of play/use, the same section I had to reorder for was cracked and had to be taped. He used it quite a bit last night and today. Now the dustpan is missing a piece of plastic broken off and somewhere in our house. :( The plastic used is too fragile. Do not buy unless you plan to only look at it.

This is such a fun and well made child size broom, dustpan and whisk broom and my grandson is delighted with it all. It was the second gift he opened Christmas morning and forgot all about opening anything else. It was so funny watching him "sweep" all the torn paper!!The items were well packaged and all there. The broomstick screwed into the broom head perfectly and has stayed tight through out all his housework. The brom fibers are attached firmly and none have fallen out or bent.This was the perfect purchase and I plan to order another set for my 20 month old nephew.I fully recommend you purchase from this company if you are looking for a child size broom and accessories.

The set is very cute. Good quality, perfect size for my 17 month old and she loves it. The packaging wasn't very good though. I had to re-order it because the packaging was torn and the broom head had fallen out/was missing. I liked the pieces that did come in enough to re-order to get the complete set. I appreciate the minimal packaging from an environmental standpoint, but maybe just some twist-ties to hold the pieces to the cardboard could have avoided this issue.
