Review: Excellent boom pole - This boom arm is excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality when I first held and used it—it feels solid, yet it’s very lightweight and comfortable to handle. The price is also very reasonable, making it a great alternative to the Rode Boom Pole series, including the Pro version. For my needs, this boom arm will serve me very well. The included carrying bag is also high quality, and it comes with several handy straps to secure an XLR cable along the pole. However, I’ll be using it with the Comica VM40, a wireless shotgun mic. After testing the mic with the boom arm, I can confidently say the sound quality is excellent—clear and professional. I plan to pair it with the Rycote 041118 INV-7 HG MKIII shock mount to further reduce handling noise. Overall, this boom arm is a great piece of gear and offers fantastic value for the price.

Being Neewer it is good quality (I have several Neewer items) Orher plus points: screw sockets both end, packet with screw adaptors, good cable clips. Glad I paid a bit more to get a quality product that is perfect for my needs.

**Q: Can you attach to any microphone?**
A: Pretty much although maybe not obscure ones? Sm58’s etc are fine and most rifles

**Q: Is it possible to insert an xlr cable, even if i have to reattach the plug? thanks!**
A: No there is no access to the inside.

**Q: Does it comes with a bag?**
A: Mine didn't either. :-(

**Q: So can you just add the microphone on with the standered thingy it has on the bottom of it**
A: Yes, at the one side there is an small hole to adjust the microphone, though you may need in the future a cable at least of three meters to absorb the noises from great distance

A little heavier than my other carbon boom pole, but a very tidy piece of kit, with included straps for wires and thread adapters This is a great starter pole for beginners or for those more experienced who need something rugged and sturdy. I purchased this for a charity that makes videos and runs media clubs.. our volunteers found this comfortable and easy to use from those with no experience, through to professionals, we all agreed this was good value for money.
