But having said that, these goggles are not for the average casual/recreational swimmer. Most casual swimmers feel like the goggles are too tight on their face - at least that's the most common critique I hear when I've lent my goggles out to someone to try for a lap or two. But someone used to the hard plastic Swedish goggles will consider these a rather comfortable upgrade. What works well for me is taking the extra time to fit the goggles with the included string and tubing. Additionally, I pair the goggles with a bungee-cord head-strap. This strap allows for quick adjustments and has much greater durability than the included rubber-straps; after all, there's nothing worse than showing up for a swim and having your head-strap snap just as you're preparing to push off the wall! I keep a backup pair of goggles and straps in a plastic ziplock and keep it close in my mesh swim bag so if I do happen to have a goggle malfunction - it doesn't ruin a workout.
