Not going to lie i was skeptical but just used on a 300 mile round trip and no issues. We packed so much into it and yet there was still room to spare... im talking 4 bags of clothes, a large painting, camping chairs, dog bed, coats, shoes, rucksacks and still loads of room for more!! The material is thick and waterproof tried and tested in unpredictable Scottish weather and everything bone dry, has a thick secure zip then added overlap sealed with velcro. I was nervous driving on carriageways thinking my underwear was going to fly out or have it sweep off rokm BUT I can safely say it was secure and never budged. The 10 straps keep it safe and secure. Extremely valuable for the money. When comparing we could have worked out 100s for bars and box etc for the odd trips as where this was affordable, large and just as secure.

Not sure what I was expecting to be honest. I thought from the pictures that it would have had some form or rigidity to it but it’s essentially just a zipped bag, a massive zipped bag. After our roofbox decided to hit a carpark barrier I needed something cheaper to replace it. This bag is huge. We took it away camping this weekend and we easily got 5 pillows, 5 sleeping, blankets, coats and a big sports hold-all full of clothes and we still had plenty of room. Not sure how long it will last but time will tell. Can’t vouch for the waterproofness and it was blazing all weekend. Free padlock was basic but worked. Not sure it’s worth upgrading as someone could easily slash the bag if they wanted to. We used it with roof rails and it moved back slightly but I’m not sure we tightened it as much as we could. Not sure I’d trust it with the window clips.

So far, so good! It survived a 4ish hour trip to cornwall and back for a week's camping, going at 70mph plus (70 mph tops...). It holds loads of stuff, we tended to fill it with slightly lighter things - bedding toys, lighter boxes etc, but you can get a lot more in there than it first seems, especially if you want to fill it out. Having never used (or even heard of) car roof bags before, my main worry was weather it would actually stay there for the journey - it didn't move at all, v easy to set up and secure, no issues with any of the straps or the zip, it just did the job perfectly. (we only ued it for the journey there and back - I wouldn't keep it on the car empty as it would porob flap around a bit, but its v simple to take off and put back on the roof - just put the non slip mat down and then throw it on top. straps are v self explanitory, no intructions needed.)

Absolutely fantastic. Pleased with the overall size, ease of use, and the quality of the material and zips on this bag. After watching multiple videos of how to attach these roof bags, I learned that the seals around the car doors do come off and easily push back on. This bag has made a huge difference to us packing up the car after buying too much on holiday to fit it all in the boot. Would definitely recommend. The material is rubbery so good waterproof. The zips are also covered by an extra layer of rubber material to keep contents dry. It has a decent amount of straps to secure it to the roof. We ordered to an amazon counter whilst on holiday in Scotland and it was delivered in 2 days. Very pleased.

I was going to get a roof rack and box installed at Halfords, but it was coming to about £700 in total so I went to see if I could find something cheaper online - and found this 'car bag' instead for £70! The model in the photos is the smaller 15L and it gave us more than enough room for camping gear and baggage for a family of three on top of our Nissan Juke. It's basically a heavy-duty tarp bag that you strap to the roof with the straps clipping together through the inside of the car, like your car is wearing a backpack. Your roof doesn't have to be perfectly flat (the Juke's roof is slightly curved) as the bag is flexible enough to mold to any contours, and with the provided anti-slip mat and tightenable straps it doesn't move an inch. And the best thing is, when empty it packs down into a remarkably small carry bag so you could just keep it in the boot or cargo space for when you need it. All the zips are covered / storm-proofed and and all the seams and fittings are heavy-duty. We only had one issue - because of the design of our car with the slanting back doors, the rear straps would have gone right through where a back-seat passenger's head would be! I fixed this by instead threading the rear strap behind the backseat headrests and was still able to get the strap very tight and everything seemed safe and secure. I was worried about dinting the top of the car with heavy tents etc loaded on it but everything was fine, I just made sure I spread the load across the top evenly. We've used it for one long weekend camping so far and drove 400 miles along motorways with it on. For the price I'm amazed I've not seen more people using these.

This is a great buy, it had plenty of room leftover after two cabin suitcases, another hand carry, couple of sleeping bags and another bag of stuff. The straps were long enough, the bag itself was strong and all items stayed dry when we were driving in the rain. For a family of five including an infant, it definitely helped with all the luggage we had, plus a pram which by the way also fitted in the bag when we decided to put it in there on the return journey. Eight hours on the road through motorways and hills, it stayed strapped on the roof of our car. We have no roof rack so the clips that came with it helped keep it attached to the car. Overall very satisfied with it, definitely the better option than buying a bigger car!

We thought this was going to be brilliant when we brought it and it was for 2 camping trips untill the zips broke and snapped, one of them snapped in my hand when trying to zip it up and the other has bent and nearly snapped. The teeth on the zips also bent and snag. We only put light stuff in there for our camping trips as it goes on the car roof and it’s still not fit for purpose when doing that. Over all very disappointed with this product as the straps are not very strong either and kept coming lose.

We were hesitant about trusting something so simple with all of our things on the top of our car, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was solid, waterproof and nothing was disturbed during our drive. We’re a family of 4 who pack heavy for a 10-day trip and everything fit well. Installation was easy and easy to store for our next trip.

I've used this on 2 trips now. It fits well on my civic (no roof rack). The first trip was a 3 hour drive in heavy rain on the highway. Everything stayed fully dry and the bag held it's place in the roof. The return home and subsequent trips were in good weather. No signs of wear on the bag. If you are careful ensuring the bag is closed properly it does keep the water out (keep the side without the zipper at the front). I was worried reading some reviews, but the material is excellent and the bag is well worth the money.

This held up very well for our 5000km road trip out west. The first 5 hours of our trip it withheld through a huge rain storm. We fit all of our camping stuff in it with still so much room for more. The straps are a bit longer so make sure you tie them up so they don’t flap around. My only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that from tightening the straps it did leave some marks on my car. Other than that it was very useful and I 100% recommend if you don’t have enough room in your car like me. Maybe put some type of cloth so there is a barrier between the strap and your car.

Should have bought this sooner. Works awesome and really expands cargo room. Is also rain resistant as we were caught in a downpour and contents remained dry as a bone. Is also very easy to install and remove.
