yet annoying noise (we tried it on our cats)
It does make a silent, yet annoying noise (we tried it on our cats), but did not deter our neighbor dog despite putting it close to her outdoor run, and putting it on the highest level. Actually, this doesn't surprise me, as this dog comes out to bark at the squealing wheels of trains passing a mile away.There is also an indicator light on the front that allows you to see if the battery is still good, and that the unit is functioning (as you can't hear the sound except on the test mode). However, this does not make the unit very stealthy. We put a couple of layers of electrical tape over the light.

Doesn't work
Doesn't work. Have tried several different locations. From first time and now even a week later, neither dog seems to even notice it even at Level 3. My male dog is older and his hearing might be going, but younger female hears a pin drop, and she barks when he does. So, disappointed and its back to the drawing board...maybe tone is not strong enough or at high enough pitch? Not worth shipping cost to return it so I will give it away.

Did not stop the dogs from barking at all. Just purchased bark collars. Hope they work better.
