First, I want to clarify that this is a review of the product as a body wash only. Apparently it can be used as a shampoo but I have not used it as such. I bought a second bottle of this stuff after trying it once then switching to another brand then switching back to this. Here's the thing, it's a great body wash. You cannot get a better list of all-natural ingredients with ALOE being the first and not a single scary ingredient like SODIUM LAURETH SULFIDE, which is found in almost every other personal cleaning product. In fact, the only listed ingredient I had to look up was DECYL GLUCOSIDE, which turns out to be "plant-derived, biodegradable, and gentle for all hair types." (Wikipedia, "Decyl goucoside," 23 September 2019.) So whats the deal? Why not 5 stars? Because of the scent. It reminds me of the homeopathic section of the natural food store and brings back memories of my mother shoving bitter tinctures under my tounge when I was sick instead of giving me real medicine. But, that's a story for my therapist and not the lovely shoppers of Amazon. However, the benefits to my skin are undeniable. No more wintry dry itchy skin. Also, it rinses off easily, unlike other super hydrating washes that feel oily but never really do anything helpful. And I'm sure it smells the way it does because they are trying to make a natural product without a bunch of chemicals that smell pretty but probably cause cancer. So, for now I will continue to suppress my bitter childhood memories for the sake of my smooth hydrated skin. (Is this a cry for help?... probably.) So in conclusion, this is the best body wash for your skin you are going to find (or at least I have found). You may or may not like the scent (I mean it doesn't smell like dog poop or anything). So, give it a try. Your skin will appreciate it.

EXCELLENT FACE WASH

Product works fine. Nice aroma. The problem is the container. I ordered this product because it was pictured and described as coming in a pump bottle. It did not. It came in a squeeze bottle. It therefore is not for shower use.

The body wash made a good lather, and I think the smell is nice and manly (more importantly, my ladyfriend likes it and can't get enough of it). It seems suitable for all purposes, but I would suggest not using it on your face. I would recommend this product to anyone in need of a good, clean smelling body wash that they can rely on.

I never heard of this product until my daughter and I went camping and stayed in a tiny cabin in the mountains of Colorado. The entire cabin was solar controlled and in the outdoor shower they left the Barrels and Oak all in one body wash to use due to its pure environmentally safe ingredients. We loved the smell, the lather and how smooth it left our skin after each use. When I came back home I just had to order it for myself. I will order another bottle when this one runs out.
