Used on lawn tractor tires, works far better than traditional tire plugs

The gun is very well made. Very solid and made from good materials. The piece is heavy and has to be made of thick gauge steel. With the shape of the plugs and installation method, I think you could fix a puncture in the tread that is almost into the sidewall. A tire shop won't go anywhere near this far out.The pictures in this Amazon presentation tell the operation very well. Find the leak, soap and water, ream it out and load a plug in the gun. The nozzle serves two roles, to insert the plug in the gun and to guide the plug into the tire. Just like they show, you screw the nozzle onto the probe and push the probe into the tire. The hard part is getting the nozzle through the tire treat. The probe is sharp and enters easily but the nozzle is harder to force through. Liquid dish soap makes a good lube but I also chamfered the end of the nozzle and made the tip as thin as I could. The tip of the nozzle as it comes has a square corner and makes insertion more difficult. Don't lose the probe as it's OD is very close to the ID of the nozzle and makes insertion easier.Once the nozzle is seated in the tire, screw on the gun, give it a few squeeze and the plug is in place. It is not going anywhere. The plugs appear to be lubricated and are packaged in sets of 3 in zip lock bags. The bags of 3 are packaged in sets of 5 in another zip lock with two bags in another zip lock You only have to open as many as you need so they don't dry out. Trim off the excess plug and you are ready to roll. Good luck and have a beer ready.

Saved me on a sidewall puncture - holding strong with no air leak. I bought this kit for my car and had to put it to the test sooner than expected. The puncture I had was on the sidewall of the tire, which most shops won’t even repair, so I wasn’t sure if this would work. To my surprise, the mushroom plug went in clean and the tire has been holding pressure with no air leak at all. The gun applicator makes a huge difference compared to the old strip-style kits. You get way more control and the plug seats properly without fighting it. The reamer tool prepares the hole nicely and everything in the kit feels solid, not cheap. I’m treating this as a temporary fix since it’s a sidewall repair (always replace the tire when you can for safety), but the fact that it sealed at all on the sidewall says a lot about how well this kit works. For regular tread punctures it would be even easier. Worth every penny to have in the trunk for emergencies. Highly recommended.

It's hard to comment when I have not used the product yet. But from the looks of the item, and trying to test the function of the tool, it looks and feels to be a good product.For now I'm just giving it a 3 stars. Might give an update when the time comes (hopefully not) when I use this tool.

This type of puncture repair is probably the best so far. I repaired 3 punctures with it so far and air leaks from any the tires (car, bicycle and ride on lawn mower. So easy to use a 90 yr old person can do it. The plugs seems to be more permanent than the traditional "wick" plugs and almost invisible after repair. The cost is a bit higher than traditional kits, but it has a better tool. The plugs are designed for small ruptures ie; nails, screws, etc. It has been months since my repairs and tires are still holding, excellent durability. Overall, I would say it is well worth the extra cost. I would recommend this item.

Better than a patch or plug and twice as fast and easy to use.

Works well on tubeless mountain bike tyres with a large puncture much better than thin bacon strips. Add rubber cement glue and used the gun to push it through was a little hard at first but when it when through it stayed solid even after several trail rides.
