Unlike many people, beds hurt my back. I have degenerative disc disease, osteoporosis, and scoliosis. I have slept on air mattresses (no thanks), the floor, yoga mats, futons, and hammocks (yes, plz n thank you). My current living situation has me in a furnished room, that I have really tried to make my own. The bed is pushed up against the wall and on it's side. Now I have room for my art studio and room for a floor mattress. Once I move out, I plan to get a hammock as I have 3" wall hooks to place within studs, as well as this tri-fold cushion. I love that this is easy to unfold and fold back up - however, the nice storage case sent with it - it takes forever to simply place it back IN. To the point, I even made custom cardboard walls to hopefully make it easier, but I would have to sew cloth over it to truly make it worthwhile. So, for now I just fold up and lean against a desk. Or, if I have the energy in the morning I will take time and place within the bag that I have lined with cardboard now. It does free up the space quite nicely and I can work in my art studio as if no bed existed. Comfortability? I find it comfortable, as well as my dogs :) I have had to tell my dog to go lay in her bed so that I could sleep. ( she loves to take up as much space as she can ). However, this may be unrelated as I have pains a lot - but my tailbone has been in a lot of pain and wondering if this mattress is the culprit? I did have to switch the direction I lie down on it because if you have it faced one way - your butt will fall in the crease, per the design of folding up. However, if you turn it the other way, the crease is flush with fabric, but I can still imagine that it probably allows a dip once I lie down - so this very much could be affecting my tailbone. I know that it's intent (it seems from other buyers/reviewers, anyway) is to be used as a sofa or bed topper - but I didn't see why it couldn't be used as a floor cushion, too. This works for now, as it was within my budget - but, I probably will be looking for a more luxe option in the future. The material on top snags VERY easily, I have to make sure there is a blanket if my dogs ever choose to lay on it, as their nails or paws snag the fabric. And then you have all these snagged strands hanging off that are very fine fluffy cotton strands....

For a greater quality sleep experience for my guests, I offer a variety of different adjustments according to their body’s needs. I have a collection of different ways to help create their beds to be as comfortable as possible for them, including xl twin size egg crate foam pads. One of these adjustment options are these 4” xl mattress toppers. They are available to place on top of 6” medium-firm foldable xl twin mattresses, just in case. I chose the length of xl to provide more space, length-wise and width-wise for pillow(s) on one end and more room for anyone to move around and rest comfortably on the other end, and all around. Just in case I may need to use these mattress options myself, or not, I can be assured that I will more likely have a quality sleep experience using one or more of them. Sweet Dreams.

I pad holder, works great

I got this in Twin XL, and found that this is the perfect size to go under an authentic Japanese futon (which apparently my body disagrees with just as-is). Perfect to pad that out for comfort, while still offering the ability to fold and put it away when not in use, which was the whole reason I opted for a Japanese futon to begin with! This mattress is a little on the firm side, which is not a problem for me as that means I am getting plenty of support throughout the night when I sleep. If I stand on it, I don't feel the floor at all unless I put all my weight onto one foot, but I never feel the floor when sitting or laying on it. It's been two months now of daily use, and it's holding up like it's still brand new. I like that I can partially fold this and use it as a floor chair with back support if I just want to sit and read. Easy to fold up and put away when not in use, but it does take up a fair amount of space and I found I couldn't store it in my closet as a result, but I did find a spot next to my vanity where it fit perfectly. I haven't tested the zipper cover just yet as I've protected the mattress with a fitted sheet that I wash with my other linens, but I imagine that will come in handy when I decide it needs a clean otherwise. With this product, I get to have my cake and eat it too... I get to sleep in comfort, but still get to reclaim my floorspace after I wake up! Highly recommend!
