Very nice fountain action with just solar power!
This is a very nice fountain for a small water feature or pond for keeping water fresh and aeriated for bird baths and other wildlife like butterflies, dragonflies, etc. ... with no electrical cord or outlet needed! Please keep in mind that it needs good sunlight to work to it's fullest pumping capabilities. It will continue to work to a diminished degree if it becomes shaded during the course of the day, but don't expect it to spray as high as it is capable of doing under direct sun when it is very cloudy or in shaded conditions. That said, this new model works much better in the shade than my older model. You also should be careful that it's not emptying your water reservoir if it isn't centered so as to not spray water outside the bowl or pond ... especially if the wind picks up and blows the spray in directions you didn't anticipate. On this new fountain I'm using the included plastic "bumpers", on my old one I use rocks to keep it from drifting in the bowl. You will also have to play with the eight or so fountain heads to see which you like the best, as well as which heads don't spray water out of your reservoir and empty your water! Also, remember to check your water level in your reservoir on a regular basis, keep it free of leaves, etc., and occasionally clean the little fiber filter which only takes a moment to clean. Other that that this is a very dependable little "work horse" for a very reasonable price! I have an older day & night version of this fountain with LED lights and separate power bank and a sensor that lights up and sprays after dark that is still working very well after more than a year and a half, (see the ground level red/blue/green/yellow bird bath in the background). This particular new version is only a daytime version w/o the LED lights, (the copper/green raised bird bath in the foreground), but I like it quite well and it does work better in the shade than the older model. I see that they also still offer the day/night LED lighted version, so it's just a matter of preference and a bit difference in price. I included a short 8 second video of what to expect if your fountain becomes shaded during the day from clouds or from shading from a fence or tree blocking the sun at different times of day/season. That doesn't mean it's broken, just not getting full sun ... assuming the filter is not blocked, of course. I think you'll really enjoy this little fountain. I know my cardinals, blue jays, wrens and dragonflies do, as I can watch them throughout the day while they are drawn to and visiting my bird baths! ; -)

Nice Show, No Wires
This is a nice little fountain that gives a pretty effect (of course, being solar, nothing much happens on very overcast days, but surprisingly, it did run on most cloudy days). Not much sound as it's a low little fountain, but it's nice. We added extenders (made from a plastic straw) to keep it centered. Periodically, wash out the underside with a hose, then the spigots on the top (they clog eventually). We're very happy with it.

Nice little fountain ⛲️ But I wished it would work in the shade
It was super simple to set up and worked immediately. The only thing that I don't like is that it has to have full sun to operate. As you can see in my video, my shadow even causes it to not work at full strength. So I wished they could come up with something that would allow it to work in the shade. Because I don't want to put my birdbath directly in the brightest and hottest part of my yard. I wanted to put it in a flower garden that I have made for birds and butterflies which I purposely created to get only morning sun and not the hot afternoon sun. A place the birds can cool off in the shade and have a water source. But I cant put it there because the fountain doesn't work at all in that particular flowerbed. So it kind of defeated the whole purpose of getting it. In order for it to work, I had to move it to another flowerbed that is in the direct afternoon hot sun. The birdbath is small and shallow so when the fountain is working at full strength, the water sprays out of the birdbath which quickly empties it of water. So it will only work about 45 minutes max before the water is completely emptied out. This of course isn't an issue with the fountain but with my birdbath. Otherwise this is really a cute fountain and I like that it comes with different spouts so you can change out the waterfall style. It also floats around a lot and doesn't stay in the middle of the birdbath. Although it comes with these plastic straws to use as "arms" to keep it from moving, they don't help at all. I ended up having to put a rock on each one of the arms to keep it from moving. But by doing this means that my birdbath holds even LESS water than it normally does because of the rocks taking up space.

Cute!
While I haven't found that it gives you the effect in the photos, it does work well. I can't speak to how long it will last as I just got it. But with the other nozzle attachments too much water was splashing out of the bird bath, so it does work pretty well. The only problem I found is that I have no idea where the filter is supposed to go. The picture diagram wasn't helpful. Being as it's solar powered, it obviously is the strongest in full sun and dies out as it goes away. But it does what it says and was affordable, so I'm pleased.

Needs Ability to Store Energy
Pros: 1. Attractive (lively colors) 2. High Quality Solar Panels Cons: 1. Directions written poorly. 2. Did not explain anything clearly about how to disconnect the pump to check the filter (remove any attachment from the center of the top side and pull pump straight towards you) 3. Did not explain how to connect the tubes that keep the fountain centered (slightly separate the foam back from the plastic housing around the edge and press tube attachments up onto the plastic sides in a 4-spoke pattern) 4. Did not show drawings of how each attachment sprays water when in use. 5. No way to store the solar energy (needs two AA rechargeable batteries with decent mAh like solar path lights). That way, when the sunshine is no longer directly shinely on the fountain, it still works! 6. When sun shines fully, all the water shoots out of the birdbath.

Waste of money
My wife wanted a fountain. I did not. Guess who won? She suggested getting one of these. Just looking at the design, I could tell it was poorly made, not really very functional and would not last. But, to keep peace, I relented and bought it. Did not last through the season and quit working. First, it does require FULL sun to even remotely resemble a fountain. Even a cloud will cause the "fountain" to wane down to a trickle. The water needs to be very clean. Although it has a small plastic filter, it will clog up with the slightest amount of debris and needs cleaned often. It provides 4 small plastic tubes to attach to the device to keep it from moving too close to the edge of the water container. However, not far enough and the water will eventually spray out and need to be refilled. I put it out the front door so she could watch it. I did my due diligence to keep it running. It finally succumbed to the rigors of pushing a small spray of water into the air. With a sigh of relief, I just left it there and she never said anything and neither did I. Eventually I removed it. Case closed and still married.

SZMP Solar fountain
Szmp solar fountain This fountain is well worth the money. Solar only. No rechargeable battery but is working on sunny and cloudy days. There are 7 different nozzles to choose from. The spray is strong and goes quite high. This can cause water to splash out of a birdbath so you need to pick the nozzle that works best for you. I’m Very happy with the way it operates and that it is keeping the water clear.

Has different fittings for different heights and flows
I bought this to put in my bird bath, but my birdbath is not deep enough so I stuck it in my backyard pool and it’s fun to have out there and it comes with many different little changeable fittings to get different flows. And if you are in your pool with one , it’s relaxing to listen to it trickle as you float around. lol

Great little fountain
I can not recommend this little fountain enough. Three years and still going strong, I’ve left on holidays and the birdbath ran dry for days, the little pump trying to do its job, added water and started flowing right away, freezing temperatures? Keeps going. Clogged with pollen? Give it a clean and it’s back at it. Lots of fountain head options but I chose to leave them off and maintain a soft bubbling as the winds would blow all the water out to quickly with the prettier sprays. This could be avoided with a larger water reservoir. There is no charge storage so it doesn’t work on overcast days but runs sunrise to sundown otherwise. Bonus points that I don’t need to deal with a separate solar panel or cords like other varieties.

Great Quality!
I got three of these solar water fountains for my bird baths. They work great and I love all the various nozzles, however, you need a really wide bird bath. The fountain nozzle options are really pretty but the water sprays outside of the bird bath and I have to re-fill it four times a day. My main purpose for buying fountains was to prevent algae build up and stagnant water. So I use the fountains with no nozzles now and the water gets circulated just enough to serve its purpose. Great solar fountains if you have large enough areas to enjoy them!
