A perfect pair!
I've been exploring tools for massage and recovery lately and was initially going to get a foam set of balls instead but decided on this last minute and am so very glad that I did! I am genuinely blown away with how effective these are right out of the package! I tried one on its own at first on my neck and immediately felt the familiar crunch of knots being worked out but not in a painful way. These balls have just enough give to feel cushy while still being firm enough to get the job done. I used the same approach later on my wife's back and she practically melted! I later used them together in the pouch on my neck and lower back. It was a bit of trial and error to find the right spot for my lower back but they definitely work! I also explored their website and found a fair amount of free simple tutorial videos on basic techniques for using the balls on different areas of the body. They do have other options for videos but the subscription seems pretty pricey. I might look into getting the book though that teaches you more of these maneuvers because the balls are really useful. Oh, keep in mind that if you lay directly on the balls, it can be quite a lot of pressure, like a thumb. The plus model is supposed to be a bit gentler as they are larger, this is the smallest size they make, which does make them easy to take with you if you happened to be traveling etc. I could definitely see myself using these for a long time to come and also getting some extras for gifts or just as backup! If you're even remotely thinking of exploring self massage for pain relief, working out stubborn knots, etc this set is very worthwhile. 100% would recommend.

These are fantastic for working out muscles that hurt
I love these yoga balls. I don’t know why everybody is grumbling about them. They work on your poor tired muscles. They do have an odor to them, but after plenty of use, so I’m sure that will wear off. I’m not worried about the smell. I’m not using them on my face. I think they’re made of some sort of rubber because they are squishy not hard. They’re very easy to use and they are helping my pain.

Better than Tennis Ball, More Effective Relief
Before purchasing these I was using a racquetball, a tennis ball and a fairly hard yoga ball (came in kit with yoga props). None of them did the job of releasing sore spots and muscle tension well enough (too soft, too squishy, too hard - I know, I sound like Goldilocks 🤣). These Tuneup therapy balls are perfect! They are soft, but dense - have the perfect amount of give, yet firm enough to work deep if you want without hurting because they are also still soft. Sounds like a contradiction, but try them and you’ll know what I mean. I find I’m getting greater release of tight muscles, facia and greater relief from pain with these therapy balls. I have also bought the larger size therapy ball - it’s great for back, shoulders, back of thighs, forearms. The net bag (included) is helpful for using the two balls together on base of skull, down spine. Added plus, I store the two balls together now, so when I need them I’m not searching around the house. With purchase you are sent a downloadable 6 page newsletter that contains excellent and helpful info on techniques and use of the therapy balls. Thank you for that! Well worth the purchase price.

Therapy Balls
Excellent massage tools for long road trips. Rolling the ball on legs recirculates the blood flow.

Release & relax
At first these were hard to use, but as you use them they start to get better with each use. These work better than a foam roller. I’ve been doing my muscle releases with these. They are the right size for me, giving pinpoint pressure where I need it. If you have shoulder, neck, back, hip, or any other tense muscles or pain, these are perfect. I highly recommend following the videos on how to use these, which help a lot. These are suuuperrrbb for feet releases too if you are on your feet all day. Long day of walking at Disneyland? These are perfect for that! Great tool to bring along if you travel too!

The best massage therapy balls
I had the opportunity to use the YTU massage balls for the first time in a heated yoga class several years ago. I immediately liked them but was turned off by the price. I have tried harder plastic balls, hard foam balls, and plastic spiky balls, but all were too intense (also the plastic balls tend to slip). I decided to purchase these after coming across an ad and I'm so glad I did. I got the bright green color which is very bright and cheerful. I love the mesh bag that doubles as a way to use both balls as a kind of peanut massager. The texture of these balls is like a firm tennis ball but they do have quite a bit of give. I think this is an ideal texture and density for myofascial beginners. I always hated myofascial release because it was so painful with the foam and plastic balls. These can be intense but I can tolerate it much better and I also feel more stable if I'm putting my weight on them and I do not have to worry that I will slip off. I use them mostly for my feet and calves. I am looking forward to trying one or two of the other sized balls.
