Perfect fit for my Halfords Apollo and easy to adjust. Had to look up fitting instructions on the internet. My bike chain didn't have a split link and I didn't want break and relink the chain so I took the derailer apart and then reassemble this in the bike, remembering to put the cogs back in the correct orientation. While I managed to do this it took me 20 min and I would probably recommend splitting and relinking the chain next time.

I bought this to replace the derailleur on a folding bike that I’d never been able to set up to shift nicely. This one gives quick, accurate shifts, transforming the bike.

Funziona molto bene, con alcune considerazioni. Sul sito Shimano è riportato che è compatibile con al massimo ruote libere da 34T (ad esempio Shimano Megarange). L'ho montato su una ruota libera 34T ed effettivamente lavora veramente al millimetro, quasi a toccare i denti del pignone da 34 causando qualche lieve intoppo e calo di fluidità nel giro della catena. Per correggere tale comportamento dovrebbe venire in aiuto la "vite B" di regolazione dell'altezza della puleggia (l'unica che trovate oltre a quelle H e L) del deragliatore, peccato che se la girerete noterete che il cambiamento sarà davvero leggero. Dopo essermi informato scopro che è una caratteristica del TY500 (penserete che sia difettoso): quella vite di regolazione agisce poco, a differenza di deragliatori di gamma superiore. E' una vite-B per modo di dire. Pertanto se lo monterete su ruote libere da 34T dovrete avvitare del tutto la vite B, per far lavorare la puleggia più in basso possibile. Se invece volete una vera vite-B con regolazione significativa dell'altezza della puleggia dovete comprare dall'Acera in su. Detto ciò è un prodotto molto valido per il prezzo. Consigliato

Awesome just a Marvellous piece. This derailleur is best in its price. Delivery was OK by Amazon not very happy cause it took almost 10 Days to reach me, but the packaging was very very Good and it also came in its original box of shimano. If you have the budget and want to upgrade to a better derailleur go for it. It also look very High Profile.
