DreamSky Digital Alarm Clock for Bedrooms - Wooden Desk Clock with Date

I’m very happy with this clock. It has a clean, compact look with an elegant and modern design that fits nicely in the room. The dimmer function is very useful — the display is easy to see during the day and not too bright at night. I also really like that it shows both Fahrenheit and Celsius temperatures, which is very convenient. The numbers are large and easy to read, even from a distance. The setup instructions for the time and alarm are simple, clear, and easy to follow. Overall, it is practical, user-friendly, and looks great.

6/06/2026 One thing that always annnoys me is when reviewers never show the actual size of a product. Photos and item descriptions can be misleading, so I measured mine: • Width: 6.2 inches • Height: 3 inches • Depth: 3.4 inches Pros: • Large, easy to read display • Shows time, date, day, temperature, and DST status • Excellent brightness adjustment from very dim to very bright • Dedicated alarm volume control • Compact footprint • Auto DST support • USB charging port • Clean wood-grain design Cons: • Temperature reading is only for the area around the clock (no way to turn it off) • Faux wood finish (nitpicking tbh hehe) • No major complaints so far • USB A charging port is not fast charging. (I bought the thing. It works. I like it. I'm struggling to find anything wrong with it so far) I bought this for my desk because I wanted something easy to read without taking up much space, and it fits perfectly under my monitor shelf. The display shows the time, date, day of the week, temperature, and DST status. Everything is large and easy to read from across the room. My favorite feature is the dimmer wheel. It offers very precise brightness control, from barely visible in a dark room to extremely bright during the day, with lots of adjustment in between. The alarm volume also has its own adjustment wheel. Other nice features include Auto DST, 12 or 24 hour clock mode, Fahrenheit/Celsius selection, USB charging port, and battery backup. Overall, a great looking clock that's compact, easy to read, and packed with useflu features. I will update this review if anything comes up.

I love this clock with the larger data: time, outside temp, day of the week. It looks like faux wood. It seems to be made well. It was very simple to set. The brightness can be adjusted. It’s about as bright at night as the dimmest stove light setting- so since it’s in my bedroom it was pretty bright. I dimmed it very low.. it’s still light enough at night if you like it pitch black, you may want to turn it around/ or just literally turn the light all the way off. Turning it around with the light dimmed really low is fine for me. My power went off at midnight the first night I had it, when it came on several hours later, I had to reset everything. It’s stylish and I definitely recommend.

First, the clock is a very nice design. It's not wood by the way. I wasn't expecting it was real wood. But it does look like real wood. It's a very good size and shape for a bed side table. Clean lines. The numbers that just sort of appear on the surface is pretty slick. Good size digits and very readable from across the room. The brightness can be lowered with a dial in the back (continuously variable) and taken all the way down to where you can't see it at all. So that's nice for those that want it very dim. High brightness is pretty bright. The highest alarm volume is quite loud. It is also continuously adjustable with a dial. The smooth surfaces look like they can be cleaned with a quick wipe of a paper towel sprayed with glass cleaner. The buttons on the back for setting it up are pretty intuitive. Probably no need for a manual. The buttons are pretty noisy (loud click) when you press them. So if you are doing that when someone else is sleeping, it will probably wake them up. If you are actually using the alarm (phones have much better alarms, btw) and setting it to something different all the time before you go to bed, and your partner is sleeping - beware. If you press and hold the time-set +/- buttons, the rapid change of the number is a pretty decent pace and not stupid fast. So that minimizes button clicks. So all in all, it's a nice bedside clock. And if the battery backup works as it should, then I shouldn't have to touch the buttons hardly ever. For clock design and features, I would definitely give it 5 stars. I knocked off a star because of the packaging. The box is good, but it is a little too small. The clock sits in the box inside a bubble bag - that's good. But the AC/DC adapter sits in there tightly along the clock face, without any wrapping. The only way the power adapter can fit in the box is with the prongs facing toward the clock at the end. No bubble bag can keep the unprotected prongs from marking up the nice clock face. I noticed two such marks on mine at the edges. If the clock can survive the packaging and shipping, then it seems quite durable otherwise - for just sitting on a table. So I requested a replacement via Amazon. Interested to see how the next one looks. If the box were just a half inch longer or wider, and the prongs had one of those protective plastic caps, then the clock would survive the packaging just fine.

Finally- a clock that dims down to zero. I dont want a clock in my bedroom that lights up the room. Many come with a few discrete settings, all of which are too bright. This clock has a large, easy to read display that you can continuously dim to black, I love it. It doesnt auto-dim at night, and i dont care. The display shows thru the faux-walnut case which is pretty well made (contrary to at least one review). The wood grain is very realistic, with no visible seams and the triangular shape is very stable on a nightstand. There is an older-style USB A port on the back for phone charging. A very decent clock for $20

Has worked well, no issues with telling time, being an alarm clock, or getting an accurate temp in the bedroom. The large numbers can be fairly bright if you are light sensitive, but I like it because it makes reading the time incredibly easy, even if your far away.

Once we 'cut the cord' on our cable TV service and eliminated the DVR in our living room with its digital time display, we found ourselves still glancing into the now empty space under the television for the time display that had been there for decades. This annoyed us enough after a couple days that I started looking for a replacement clock. I wanted something that would fit into the 4" high shelf space with an easy to read, but not too bright or huge display that would distract from the video screen just above it or visually dominate that part of the room. Something nice and discrete, but not too small or dim. Ideally I wanted a wifi, bluetooth, or atomic time synced clock that would always be dead on accurate, but right away I could see that was not to be- all those types of digital clocks are either way too big wall clocks or way too small nightstand clocks. The size thing was a general problem- I only found one that wasn't too small or too big and we tried it out, but the display, while the right height to fit the shelf, was very wide- way too big and bright, even at the lowest of its 3 brightness settings. After returning that one I did a bit more searching and found this, which was a much nicer design in general and had the added feature of a continuously variable display brightness. Set at about 10% brightness this one is perfect for our use case, not to big, not too bright, but easily readable day or night and it's great having the date, time, and room temperature on the display as well for quick reference. Thankfully the design includes battery backup to avoid a complete reset in the event of a power outage (I hate that). The jury is still out on accuracy (I'm spoiled on synced clocks and watches, so I'm a bit of a stickler for this)- after a week I finally set it to dead on correct time and it seems to be floating forward.. it's only been a couple days but it seems to be maybe a second fast now. I guess I could live with +30 seconds a month, it's not that big a deal for the living room clock, but I would think it would be a bit more accurate. All in all I'm quite happy with it, especially considering the amount of hunting it took to find it. I was about to give up. It's sure nice having an easily referenced living room clock again. We never realized how often we both constantly glanced at the old time display every day without thinking until it was gone! I'd highly recommend this to anyone else that's getting rid of a DVR, cable box, or even an old VCR that features a time display they've grown used to impulsively checking.

This clock is the perfect size and the lighting is fully adjustable, which is really nice. And it’s a very solid unit. Originally bought for my father in law when he was in a home, it was dropped more than once and yet shows no damage. It gives a lot of information on a compact screen. So far we haven’t tried the alarm portion. Well worth the money.

Exceptional company who refunded me right away because the item arrived damaged. I am buying it again though because this clock is gorgeous and made of real wood —not plastic coated like the cheaper one on Amazon. It’s also easier to use than the other cheaper one. I know this because I bought the cheaper one and within a few months the vinyl l wood finish began to peal off. The cheaper version might be “made of wood “on but it has a plastic coating that creates the colour and wood grain, while this alarm clock’s colour is actually painted directly onto the wood. The timer and alarm l are also much much easier to set up. The dimmer also has far more shades. It has an easy to use snooze feature which is activated by just touching the top edge of the clock. Honestly this is a really great clock that has exceeded my expectations.
