Rise Sister Rise: A Guide to Unleashing the Wise, Wild Woman Within

Part prose, part poetry, and full of soul this book is a call to action. It is about stepping into your power as a woman and understanding the meaning of sisterhood. There are healing exercises, rituals, and meditations, as well as many things that will lead you to question your own beliefs about yourself and your role in society and to find and follow your calling. I loved Light is the New Black which spoke deeply to me on a soul level. I'll be honest, some of this one is a bit too 'woo' for me at this point in my journey, but if I take just what speaks to me it's an amazing empowering and enlightening book. So it gets 5 stars anyway. It's a book to keep returning to. If you keep it on your desk and open it in a random place each day you'll always find something that resonates on some level.

Rebecca Campbell has truly got through to me once again! 'Light is the new black' opened up a whole new world to me and changed so much in my life, I don't even know where I came across it but it popped up somewhere and I bought it without even reading the back ( I knew I needed it ) my life has completely changed since that day so you can imagine I was so excited to see another book from Rebecca. I pre ordered it of course and got straight into it. I won't say too much but this is really another life changing book for me. I highly recommend to any ladies!

Throughly enjoy the writing of Rebbeca Cambell. Easy to read and follow. Great tips and advice. From this I also joined the Rise Sister Rise membership which I have found to be so beneficial to my personal meditations.

Rebecca Campbell firmly believes we are at a crucial point in our world development, ending thousands of years of oppression and darkness caused by religion and power hungry world leaders. Our planet is dying under current human abuse; people are lost, hurt and angry. This book is "a call to arms for women to rise up, tell their truth and lead using their innate powers and wisdom." They can do this through the support systems and strengths of sisterhood. There have always been wise women, healers, medicine women, priestesses and visionaries. Campbell sees women all over the world awakening to what has been locked and hidden away inside them. Courageous, encouraging, passionate, compassionate, confident, self-assured, radiant women. In this new high speed electronic world, we have forgotten to listen to the planet we inhabit, to work with its seasons and the cycles of the waxing and waning moon. Each season of the year has different components; spring is full of new life and energy, winter is for sleep, rest and recuperation. But many of us try to live our whole year at high-speed with maximum energy output and it is unhealthy for us, we fill up with stimulants and are constantly exhausted. Campbell suggests remembering what makes us women, celebrating the strengths being a women brings and getting back our passion to change things in our worlds for the better. This isn't a book just about feminism, it is about reclaiming ourselves and saving the world.

This book was recommended to me by a friend and so I bought this and her first one 'Light is the new Black' I wouldn't normally of been drawn to this type of book, but all I can say is that, if this describes you, just buy it. A much needed book in these times, and a truly mindful and relaxing read too.

Loving this book!!! Beautifully written and read by the author. It both nurture and awakes something deep inside of you. And the energies linger long after you done reading/ listening to it. Rise Sister Rise... these words opens up a beautiful new future and reality. Highly recommend it!

Highly recommend this book! I enjoyed it so much this is my "go to gift" for all of my friends. This really helped on my healing journey and self discovery. I love the prompts where there are spaces to answer the questions the author asks in the book. Must have!

It's taken me almost a year to finish this book because I restarted twice. I kept putting it down and life got in the way. Luckily this is one that you can pick up from wherever you stopped so you don't HAVE to restart if you don't want to. I don't know how to shortly describe why I loved this book. I guess it speaks to me as a spiritual woman but I feel that if you weren't into spirituality, it is still a great read if you want to connect to your intuition and inner, awesome female. We spend so much time disconnected from ourselves and this book is just a nice stepping stone to get back that self-fire. That's what I loved the most. The book is filled with inspiration, motivation, beautiful affirmations, quotes, and prayers. As with "Light is the New Black", most of the chapters end with questions to ask and answer yourself. They're simple questions but not ones we ask ourselves generally. I'd recommend this book for any woman who feels a little out of touch, especially with themselves and is looking to reconnect spiritually.
