Easy To Install Even On A 20 Year Old Mariner 4
I did a test assembly in my basement, but I haven't tried the canopy out on the water yet, as it's January and freezing out. The canopy is easy to install, even on a 20 year old Mariner 4 without the double hole rope holders. The key is to use the holes the rope runs through instead. Simply pull one end of the rope out of its loop sleeve, undoing one of the end loops. Then unthread the rope out of the rope holders, working your way around the boat to the rope holder you want to use for the canopy on the other side. Rethread the rope, leaving it out of the rope holders you will attach the canopy brackets to. Tuck the end of the rope back into it's loop sleeve and you're set. When attaching the canopy put the rope in the jaws of the brackets before attaching the brackets to the rope holders. If you want to reattach the rope to the two rope holders when not using the canopy, get a couple of small carabiners and simply clip the rope to the two rope holders. See my pictures for details.

Fit Mariner 4
All fit Mariner 4 no problem. Can't say it's heavy duty, but looks ok. Will see how it performs later when season starts. Biggest concern to me is the straps looks weak, but will see

Fits Intex Excursion 5!
I was super excited that this fits our intex excursion 5! It was easy to assemble and put on. We were able to hook it onto the oar hooks on the boat. It provided so much shade for us and worked well on the lake for 5 hours. Taking it apart went easy and we will continue to bring it out with us moving forward. Lifesaver for families!

Highly recommend
Got this only because we were taking our baby with us to go fishing during our camping trip and it was the best investment so far. Although installing the canopy might be easy for the hubbys, the instructions are more wifey friendly. Sad thing is you do have to uninstall the whole thing/breakit down to make it fit in the boat bag. Worth the money, good durability and it looks fancy lol we got lots of compliments.

disappointed by low-quality connectors
This canopy uses plastic push-in buttons to hold the segments of aluminum tube together, and these buttons aren't connected to anything within their tubes. So, when you push them in, they can easily slide away from the hole they are supposed to poke out of. You'll have to find some long needle-nose pliers to get the button assembly back into it's hole. This has happened to me a few times. If you are using this bimini-style canopy on an Intex or similar style raft, there are some other things you should know. There is insufficient room between the poles/straps of this canopy (or any other brand of this style) to comfortably use a paddle, especially if it is your main source of power and you need to take big strokes. On Intex rafts with oar locks, you can still use the oars when the canopy is installed, but the little dinky oars/locks are pretty horrible to begin with. If you are using some kind of motor on the back, the canopy becomes much less of a hindrance, but if you have to rely on oars or paddles then you will probably have a lot of difficulty unless you have someone else in the raft with you and you can each use a paddle on either side. This is an important consideration if you're going to be dealing with any amount of wind and/or current. The Challenger 3 raft is the narrowest one that Intex recommends this canopy for, and that's what I'm using it with. You really have to squeeze the sides of the canopy frame together to get the joint where the tubes come together to connect properly to the little hole near the oar lock. I strongly recommend you have someone help you when attaching/detaching the canopy from your raft. Once the canopy is attached, make sure you use the straps to keep it as level as you can, so every breeze doesn't turn it into a sail. This can be tricky, though, if you're in a cheap raft with a squishy floor that changes shape every time you move. It is also a bit more awkward to get in/out of a raft with the canopy attached. Having said all of that, if you do have a partner to help you, and you are using a motor of some kind to propel your raft/boat, and you don't have to assemble/disassemble the canopy frequently, and it's not a very windy day...this is a nice addition to a raft. The price is reasonable and the shade provided by the canopy while the sun is high is super nice. Thus, 3 stars.

So far so good.
Cloth seems thin, only time will tell if it lasts.

Not compatible with old model mariner 4
Good design. Quality is relatively flimsy for the pricing. The main problem is that it can not be use with old model mariner 4๏ผgray boat red strip). It should be stated within ad.
