First, they are incredibly comfortable. I appreciate that they are lined, so it’s like built-in underwear. The fabric is stretchy. The waist is high and supported my abdominal area. Second, they have pockets. Not huge, but big enough to be functional. I love pockets. Third, they dry fast. They dried faster than my swim suit top. Fourth, they are very versatile. I used them for hiking, cliff jumping, swimming, surfing, snorkeling…everything. I think these would be great for boating and other water sports as well. They pair well with any swim suit top and look decent enough to wear to walk around in with a T-shirt to grab something to eat. I don’t like wearing beach/swim attire at fast casual dining places, but with the right shirt, easily convert to “shorts.” For reference, I’m middle-aged, 5’8” and about 145lbs. Size medium was a perfect fit.
