I’ve been making homemade lip balm for me, my family, and friends for the past several years. Lil balm tubes are not standard. If you get a plastic version of this you will rarely find lip balm tubes that fit in it, because the holes will only fit the size of their brand lip balm tubes. This product fits every lip balm tube type regardless and creates a tight seal so you don’t get leaks that drip down the sides of half of the tubes.

I am new to making lip balm so I read tons of reviews before I made a choice. I bought this one as it is silicone, not hard plastic and I kept reading reviews on plastic trays that said the tubes didn't fit, they fell out, etc. I bought a box of Kare & Kind DIY lip balm containers and they fit perfectly. Because it's silicone, it stretches and it fit these tubes very snugly, which held them in place without a problem. This turned out to be a super easy project and I would definitely but this item again.

This silicone tray is the 2nd I purchased for filling lip balm tubes. The first was a cheap plastic tray and was practically worthless for the job. I wish I'd spent the money and bought this better tray the first time. The 0.15 oz round lip balm tubes fit well in this tray and the silicone seals well on the tops of the tubes. This makes filling multiple tubes at once a breeze.

I love the fact that every lip balm tube stays in place securely. I love the ease of cleaning, being silicone most stuff just wipes right off, and a little soap and hot water does the rest. However it has no rigidity at all, (none, zero) even when filled with tubes the ends will droop ever so slightly so if you over-pour the wax can just run over the edge if you're not careful. Scraping the excess wax can be a little tricky too because the surface is always moving or flopping away from you. Overall I love it, but just wish it had a little support to it.

This is literally the ONLY tray you should get for chapsticks. I previously got a plastic fill tray for lip balms not knowing that this silicone beauty existed. And man that plastic one sucked! First of all with those, you need to know EXACTLY what size (diameter) your chapsticks are when you order a plastic one, and if you ever change your supplier of tubes, you will be out of luck because it won't fit. This silicone one is the answer! It fits all three of my different tubes which measure in 3 different diameters since they are from different manufacturers. Being silicone, it stretches to fit what you need, making it perfect and meant to be for this! Seriously just get this and throw that plastic tray in the trash like I did. This is the answer.

I will use this silicone tray to replace my other plastic tray. The lip balm tubes fit perfectly, unlike in my other tray. This one is flexible and easy to use!
