Good monitor and offering great value for money.
This is the second of these monitors that I've purchased. Both for office and home use. At 27 inches they seem to be the perfect size big without being to obtrusive. Whilst I'm quite sure there are better monitors out there, in terms of value for money I think they'd be hard to beat. Monitor provides a clean crisp display ideal for general office work and I've used the second of the two monitors at home both for streaming and some light gaming without any real complaints. Whilst only 60hz (potential to up it to 75hz using free sync) find it perfectly adequate. Worth noting that for any modern setup you'll need to purchase a supplementary hdmi cable. And if you wish to mount the monitor you will need to purchase a VESA mount adaptor. But otherwise a great monitor.

Great quality monitor!
Got this at an amazing deal and this is by far the best monitor I have used. I can easily use this for gaming and movies from both my desk and my bed, either way will give amazing clarity for a good price and it was a great step up from my old monitors. The colour range is great and the everything is so much clearer a d precise. The size is perfect as it gives as much detail as possible but has a small footprint from the stand which makes it ideal for people looking for more screen space with limited desk space

Excellent, quality, VFM monitor but high "off" power consumption
Excellent picture quality and value for money. I have two connected to my laptop, one via HDMI and the other via D-Sub (comes with D-Sub cable - bonus!). Both images are crisp and sharp but here is a slight colour/brightness difference due to the different connection methods but it can be adjusted out (it may be my laptop causing this). Only four stars as the "off" power consumption is higher than stated - I measured this as about 6W on each when it should be nought point something, so I need to unplug them. Do I recommend this? Absolutely and I'd buy a third if my laptop supported a third screen.

Very much worth the price
Bought this to be the main monitor in my 2 set up, it’s nice and lightweight and easy to set up, I do find it colour burns easily if you leave it on the same screen for too long but that goes away, just a bit annoying to happen. Also when it’s just on the desktop it seems a bit jumpy and flashy kind of like the lines of pixels are moving but to be honest when I’m doing something I don’t notice it, and when I’m on a game it stops so I’m not too upset

If you want a remarkably cheap basic monitor, this is the monitor for you.
If you want a remarkably cheap basic monitor, this is the monitor for you. Before sending it back, I asked various members of my family if they wanted it. They all have several monitors. What happens when you buy a new monitor? ==== You have an old monitor you are not sure what to do with. This monitor was worse than my old monitor. My old monitor had more screen sizes. For the price, I felt that it was a remarkably good deal. I actually paid slightly less than it is selling for at the moment. However I wanted a better monitor, not one that was slightly worse. Still quite functional. ++++ My immediate impression is one of disappointment. I am using it at the moment, and I can sense the eye strain. I am afraid this was a case of penny wise and pound foolish. One of the problem with Amazon reviews, is that it is often all 27 inch Dell monitors that are lumped together. So you will read a review in which it says that the speaker quality is not much good. This monitor does not have speakers. This was something I knew, and I was happy about. First of all, the monitor is not adjustable. Its position is fixed. Secondly, it has only two input sockets HDMI and VGA (No HDMI cable was provided.) This monitor is described as a gaming monitor and they show a picture of a first person shooter. The graphics on first person shooter can be very crude, and the picture does not change rapidly. I am honestly thinking of sending it back. I now realise that I would have much prefered a much more expensive, possibly 4K monitor. I am slightly disappointed with Dell. I have come to expect 'office standard' monitors from Dell. With very good adjustment and a screen that you can look at for hours. This is like a TV screen! +++++++++++ OK, I am being a little bit hard on this monitor. It is just that I was disappointed. Being Amazon, I still have the option to return it. +++++++++++++ So, why am I being so hard on this monitor? Well, some what to my surprise, I discovered that it was not all that big. In actual fact, it is not much larger than my existing monitor. My existing monitor, also by Dell, has a much square shape. But the real estate - screen viewing area is similar. Also, I can go, one step further in pixels on the screen with my old monitor. 1920 * 1080 is the max on this screen. On my old screen which is not plugged in at the moment, I can have more pixels. That enables me to add a new folder and put items in it, if my screen is full of icons. It also enables me to 'save' in One Password, when the box is not properly on the screen. 1366×768 screens just surpassed 1024×768 as the most popular screen resolution used by the visitors to StatCounter's global network of sites. For example, 2K reference resolution is 2048 × 1536 pixels, whereas 4K reference resolution is 4096 × 3072 pixels I think this was the resolution I was able to get on my other monitor: WUXGA 16:10 1920 1200 0.84 1.3 What I am saying, is that it is not as good as my old monitor. ++++++++ That is a pretty damming thing to say.

Perfectly fine
I mean it’s not expensive really for a monitor and whilst I’m sure against a much dearer dell model the flaws will come through I really don’t notice in its own right. I work mostly but play games too and the resolution and picture clarity don’t both my enjoyment at all. I suppose if you are used to much better this may disappoint but then more than likely you were never considering a monitor in this price range in anycase. If you are, you’ll be happy.

other than that monitor was nice and sleek
the seal was broken when it arrived, and the blue was pixelated.not sure if it was a defective monitor or if its a fault with this brand. other than that monitor was nice and sleek, montior returned..

No UK power cable in the box, is this legal ?
This monitor was supplied without UK power cable or adaptor, Euro plug only !; IS THIS LEGAL ? Monitor is fine for price, but stand bracket is short and does not adjust for height, it is also a cut-off Dell bracket and cannot be attached to traditional dell stand mount or vesa

Excellent price-performance ratio
I bought this monitor because I was looking for the cheapest 27 inch 1080p IPS screen I could find, and I can safely say that for the price I paid at the time, the Dell SE2717H was unbeatable. It shows no signs of wear after 2 years of use. The only issue with this monitor is the lack of VESA support. In hindsight, had I known that the price for a VESA adapter would be so high, I would have probably invested a little bit more in a monitor with VESA support. Today I'm sure you can find better alternatives at the same price or even lower. So while I give it a 5*, I advise you to look at other screens, and you may find a better bargain.

Relacion calidad precio impresionante.
