I weigh round 240 after dumpage occurs. Being a trained professional I can report the the lid holds up well when stinging on it to reach dust bunnies located at the corners of the ceiling. Please remember this use is not recommended for the general public and under no circumstance should you dance around whilst on the lid ... **Q: I bought this and installed it per the directions--but the screws stick up too hign and I can't close the screw covers. What am I doing wrong?** A: use a socket wrench with an extension. my problem was the nuts would not turn on the screws at all. had to put a small Vise Grip at the shank of the screw, put shampoo on everything and had to run the nuts up and back about 5 times each before the threads were chased.
