i have been looking for something NATURAL & organic-based to darken my hair with. oral supplements and henna would take WAY too long. this was perfect! i loved the ingredient listing. everything is natural. the color whipped up very creamy and i have very thick bob length (dread)locs, so it took 2 boxes to cover my entire head. my hair turned out very shiny and moisturized after the dye. it looked very natural they include a small bottle of the shea moisture moisturizing shampoo and conditioner in the container. there is enough to give you maybe two more washes after the post-dye wash. i recommend this for anyone that wants to stay true to being natural but maybe doesn't have the patience for gradual darkening from henna or oral supplements.

The overall packaging and presentation was good. Nice cloth bag. Good quality shampoo and conditioner included in the box. But, was pretty hard getting the conditioner out of the bottle. It could do with being softer plastic to make squeezing much easier. The dye went on beautifully. Love how dark the colour is. Had help applying the colour to my hair. My hair's short, but I think it'd be difficult to manage on your own unless you're rocking a twa. One of the gloves ripped in the middle of the process though and it's no joke trying to remove the dye from skin! Gloves are also not good if you have larger hands. My hair didn't feel dry at all after being processed. Would definitely use this product again.

Followed direction to the letter. Color was running as soon as I shampooed after dyeing. I used their own shampoo as instructed. Made no difference. I should have known then that there was a problem. Each hair wash (and not even wash, even just rinsing my hair with plain water) saw color running down the drain. Even only a couple of days after dyeing. Will not use again. Oh, it also made my hair dry and brittle.

I use other Shea moisture products so I decided to give it a try. It worked very well on my stubborn gray hair. I recommend using your own shampoo and conditioner. I didn't like the shampoo and conditioner that came with it. They didn't to work to moisturize my hair. I was surprised at how dry my hair felt after being colored. It took jamaican black castor oil and a good brushing to restore my hair. It definitely works on gray hair but the trade off is dry hair.

It made my hair jet black, it was fast and easy and smells nice, but the little bottles it came with was extra hard to squeeze and so I had to give up before I broke my nail and got something to scoop the products out.. This stuff made my hair dry, and texture a looser than it was before, it is all literally 1 texture looser. Words. Cannot. Describe. How weird it looks to see a 3b running down the back of your head and the 4a is all around it just sitting there. This this definitely involves a deep conditioning. This is my first time dying my natural hair and its virgin, if you're okay with the trade off then this is for you. I'm glad that I read this dye would loose its gripe after a couple of washes. I just decided that I'm not a dye kind of person. EDIT***** After deep conditioning, spraying protein spray, and washing some of the color out my hair feels back normal again and my texture is back. I honestly expected more from a company named "Shea moisture", I should have stuck to Manic Panic.
