Better than the plastic sets you get at parts stores. The plastic sets tend to wear out and you can get false measurements if you don't pay attention to the plastic ones. I chose to get the metal set and I'm glad I did. The paint will wear off but it won't wear the metal. I've used it every single day at work for months on end with no issues

Tool works great and is durable. My last set was plastic and one of them broke.

It measures brake pads perfectly but it’s way too rigid to get into tight spaces. Measuring the rear pads is difficult if the parking brake is on, and measuring the inner pad is kind of annoying, otherwise it’s awesome. It doesn’t wear out like the plastic type does, which is sick.

A lot better than the plastic version.

Use it when no rotation is needed and comes in very clutch, especially in those hard to reach areas

They supply us with the plastic ones at work for video inspections and after breaking the heads on several of them I wanted to look for something a bit more durable that would still offer an accurate measurement so I went with this and it 10/10 gets the job done. It’s excellent.

Had this tool since March to upgrade my plastic ones. Great tool as I use it everyday for work and makes it easier to measure as well as long lasting ends so they won’t chip off like the plastic ones! Coworker even wants one of his own!
