They appear to have worked well although I have not worn them in a downpour as yet. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Puzzling result *by M***B on 11 November 2025* Very pleased with the pre-wash which thoroughly cleaned my old Timberberland soft-shell jacket in the washing machine. Then ran the synthetic 30 degree machine program adding the waterproofing agent. Let the jacket dry overnight and was amazed by the complete water repellency when I ran part of the jacket under a tap. I then cycled to work in a light drizzle of rain and, after ten minutes, the jacket was soaked and wet to the touch. I don't know how it's possible?! In summary, it's fine if someone chucks a bucket of water at you, but a mild drizzle will penetrate.
