This was such a fun kit to do! I’m not exactly a beginner at embroidery, but I’m also not super experienced and I would say this was exactly the level of challenge I was looking for. If you’ve never embroidered before, you might need to look up videos on how to do the different stitches because the pictures included would not be all that helpful, but it’s certainly doable for a beginner. I was pleased with the quality of the thread and the canvas tote. I had no issue with the needles, but I do have an extra supply of needle threaders because they all break at some point. My only complaint was the hoop because it is smooth plastic and I felt it was difficult to get it tight enough and keep the canvas from slipping. The canvas can be a little difficult to pull the thread through with some of the stitches, but the end result is beautiful and worth every bit of effort. Embroidery is cathartic for me and something I enjoy doing while zoning out to a podcast. This kit was perfect for that and the fact that the end product is something I can actually wear made it even better. I will be adding a colorful lining to the tote and some trim around the top for a finished look. I can’t wait to use it and show off my work!

I bought this for my 8 year old who has recently gotten into cross stitching, We love this design and how easy it is to follow. Working on this slowly but surely, will update with pictures once she completes it. Definitely recommend! *Fun for kids and adults! *Beautifull quality yarn with vibrant colors! *Comes with everything you need!

It was easy to do overall as a beginner, the hardest part was the limited amount of space inside the bag for the needle when I was stitching, part of it felt like it was taking a stab in the dark. The bag came out beautifully though.

This piece turned out beautifully. That said, I am not a beginner and was able to make some stuff as I went. The items instructions were not thorough and had either been translated to English or written by someone who did not have a complete understanding of the English language. The quality of the provided supplies were fine but not great. The hoop was too small, the threads and is low quality. There were also no finishing products included; you could choose not to finish the interior of the bag but long term your art will not last. I would recommend this project for anyone who has completed prior hand embroidery project previously. I do not think a child under 11 could do this project without assistance.

Great gift for my niece who is just starting to learn embroidery. Instructions and pattern are both easy to follow. The bag is also good quality so I’m hoping she’ll be able to use it for a long time!

As a beginner I find this a bit hard. It's a lovely project but doesn't have directions for the different stitches needed. This is a easy fix as I'm able to look them up online. Looking forward to finishing this project so it can be my go to summer bag.

Good product. Good instructions. Came out nice! Just had to get a zipper added later so that the tote can be more functional. But good process.

I purchased this to make as a gift for my mother who loves sunflowers. I mainly referenced the color photo in the instructions to see what colors I needed to place. I did run out of one of the shades of green, and the grey/blue and had to use some leftover thread from another project. It was easy to make, and I'm happy the results. I can feel proud to give this as a gift. I think it's easy enough for adult beginners who want to take up the hobby of embroidery. You will learn a few stitches from this particular design, the satin stitch, stem stitch, and french knot. The tote bag is a pretty thick fabric and it should hold up nicely. The tote bag isn't the largest bag, but it isn't very small either. It should be the perfect size to use as a cute purse on a spring day. Could be used for groceries as well, as long as it's just a few items. I'm looking at other designs they offer to make for other relatives/friends who might be interested.
