Alba Botanica Very Emollient Body Wash, Coconut Rescue, 32 Oz

This is my absolute favorite soap I've ever used! I've been using this soap for probably 5 years and I just love it. It tingles on my skin, which feels nice in a hot shower... and the tingle lingers beyond my shower. In the morning, I'll hit my snooze button 3 times dreading getting out of my warm, comfy bed, but when I finally drag my tired butt into the shower and this soap hits my senses, it really does wake me up. Not only the tingle on my skin, but that refreshing mint smell... by the time I'm done showering, I'm awake, alert, and ready to face the day! It's also great on dry skin. I have very dry skin, and used to get cracks on my knuckles and elbows... but since I've used this soap, I don't get those dry cracks in my skin. I also use it on my face, and it doesn't dry my face out. It leaves my skin tingling, refreshed, feeling clean all day. My dog has super itchy skin, and I've tried absolutely everything under the sun to help ease his itchiness (he has allergies) and this is the first soap that has given him relief -- except the medicated shampoos that have unhealthy/toxic ingredients... which I've completely stopped using now that I've found this to work for him. I'm just super careful not to get it in his eyes, because it is really minty, and would probably sting. There are now 3 of us using this soap (including the dog), I shower daily, the other person showers 3 or 4 times a week, and the dog twice a month (he's 70 lbs and furry) and one bottle lasts us about 3 months. It goes a LOT further if you use a washcloth to lather up your body. I don't know what I'd do if they stopped making this soap, it's irreplaceable!

Love this body wash!! I have sensitive skin and it does not irritate. It has a beautiful light fragrance.

This smells fresh and leaves your body feeling clean and smooth. Having it in a pump is fast and effective. I also love that the top is a different color (green) as opposed to the white tops of the shampoo and conditioner because I don't have great eye sight without my glasses. It comes out thick so you don't have to use a large amount of the wash so it will last a long time. I was recently visiting a relative who had this in their shower. As soon as I got home, I ordered it (and some other Alba products - all pictured). I had forgotten how much I like the Alba products because once COVID hit, I quit going to the store and just didn't see it. I am really happy that I have them again. My daughter was excited as well when she saw that I purchased the mango body wash. I will definitely continue to buy this. Having it available on Amazon makes purchasing so much easier.

Has a great mint scent and your skin feel smooth, tingly, and clean when you dry off. Definitely my favorite shower gel so far. Others have made me feel like I had a residue left on my skin, but not this stuff! I had bought a cheaper bottle of some other stuff, but this is worth the extra money. I clean my face and upper body with this and my butt and lower body with the cheap stuff until that runs out... I would have given 5 stars instead of 4 if it would lather a bit more. I saw some reviews saying you only need one pump to wash your hole body. Well that may be true is you are small. I'm 6.2 and it requires a pump and a half to 2 pumps to get a good lather on my whole body. Still love it though and don't plan on getting anything else in the future. You won't be unsatisfied. This is coming from a 35 year old male that doesn't really care too much about beauty products, its just that much better that it is noticeably a superior product to the competition in my opinion. Update 5/21/13 - DO NOT BUY French Lavender. I wanted to try it cause I liked Sparkling meant. Like other reviews I read, it has a nasty chemical smell to is. I would never buy it again.

I've been using Alba Botanica Sparkling Mint soap as my primary soap for over 10 years and it is (obviously) one of the best soaps I've ever used. I don't know all of the technical details about the ingredients of the soap or anything, but I just know it works and doesn't bother my skin at all. I've used it in multiple climates in the USA and abroad and have never had any problems. The Sparkling Mint scent is refreshing and not too strong. Unfortunately, the mint scent must be very popular because it is currently (as of APR 2025) a 1-2 month wait for a replacement. Thus, I bought the Ocean Surf scent as a holdover and I've been using it for the past week. Like the mint version, it seems to work fine, no dryness or irritation. Also, the smell is subtle and not overwhelming. While the Mint variant is a white/cream color, the Ocean Surf version is a clear soap. Overall, highly recommend both versions and absolutely recommend the Mint version because I have such a long track record with it. Hope this helps.

I like this shower gel a lot. I have very sensitive skin and it's responded well to this soap. It has a clean, herbal scent--not too flowery or fruity--one I think most people would find refreshing. The pump is just great! Every time I take a shower I take pleasure in not having to flip the lid on a slippery bottle to get some soap. I just pump some into my shower scrubby and it gets me nice and clean without drying out my skin. This gel is well-priced, natural enough, and rinses nicely without spotting my shower or tub. While it may not be my ultimate aroma-therapy shower high, it's great stuff in every way I need it to be. I think this may be a new household staple. Update: I've ordered this product three times from Amazon. First two times, great product as reviewed above and flawless delivery. Third time not the charm. It arrived wrapped in plastic in a box. Taking it out of the box, it immediately felt light. The bottle was slightly damp inside the plastic, but none of the packaging was aslosh in product. The bottle said it contained 32 ounces of product and it was identical to the previous bottle. I put it on the scale and it registered 18 ounces total, bottle and all. Only possible explanation that it had been opened between manufacture and my receiving it. Creepy. Too inexpensive a product to return. I will be looking for another product, and possibly not from Amazon.

I must state that I love Alba Body wash products and love the feel that the coconut oil leaves on your skin as it is so soft and moisturizing. Now for the not so good part, this particular Mango scented product actually stinks and makes you want to plug your nose, not like mango would normally smell, but instead something really bad. Both of us can't wait until the bottle is gone, almost there. Again, I love there products and other scents, but this is one to avoid.

We love this body wash and have used it for years. It is gentle, and the fragrance is very light. Do not, however, purchase if it is a third party seller. I did, and they sent the wrong item. They refuse to take responsibility and send the correct product or issue a refund.

Love this shower gel but can't risk buying again. Nice and creamy, smells great but it takes about one month from ordering to receiving and not a small amount of reviewers have said it was delivered broken. Even though mine was not broken I just can't wait a month for delivery and to many reviewers have stated there's was delivered broken. If I waited a month and received a damaged product I would be devastated so I'm not going to risk it. As a product though it is excellent.

I love the creaminess of this product and it has a lovely smell, my skin did feel soft after a shower but unfortunately the smell didn't last very long which is a shame.

Very runny so you waste a lot. The smell is extremely subtle, so I’m actually disappointed.

I bought this with great expectations as I love Alba products. This one was disappointing because there was absolutely no lathering or foam. It was thin and watery and had no gel like consistency you would expect from a “shower gel”. The other issue was the smell. I think the bottle I received was old stock that had expired. It smelled of rancid coconut oil on top of a strong floral scent which did not mimic tuberose. The manufacturing date was 2020 with a shelf life of 12 months. It’s now 2022. Do the math. I had to return this. It’s too bad as it was a nice big bottle.
