Worms in the food. Im not sure what happened but this last bag of Purina pro plan had egg sacks with worms. Per google, they are pantry moth larvae.

Huskies are definitely dogs with attitude and mine is 8 years old and always had a sensitive stomach. She eats this faster than her old kibble which would be left out all night and there would still be some in the morning. This one it's usually gone by midnight. It seems to be helping her coat and joints. She's also having less trouble with diarrhea and she grazes on it as she sees fit. She seems to like the taste and the 40lb is usually a good value. This stuff apparently smells good to her because she gets excited but I don't like smell of it... But it's not too bad for dog food. This bag size is good because she's a smaller husky about medium sized dog so this lasts her 2-3 months. So I would say between this and her supplement for her joints she's doing very well for her age. This dog food has definitely helped her over all health.

I was feeding another Purina Pro kibble, and my 5 yr old shepherd kept having loose stool every 2-3 weeks. I switched over to this, and it's been almost 3 weeks, and no sign of gastrointestinal issues. Read ingredients carefully and a slow switch-over helps.

I’ve been really happy with this Purina Pro Plan dog food. My dog loved it right away, had no digestive issues, and I’ve already noticed a healthier coat and great energy levels. The kibble is a good size, the ingredients are high quality, and it arrived fresh and well-packaged. I’ll definitely be ordering it again. Highly recommend!

I love this product and so does my dog! When he was a young dog, he had a lot of digestive issues. He was on Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Skin & Stomach, but was still having issues. I also had a tough time affording it. I decided to try this product and it actually works better for him than Hill's! Still using it years later.

I bought this dog food because I thought my dog might be allergic to chicken, so I decided to splurge on this one. Unfortunately, it turned into a nightmare. The very first time I offered it to my dog, he wouldn’t eat it, which was unusual. I initially thought maybe it was just the flavor he didn’t like. But then I noticed a couple of black bugs in the food. I brushed it off, thinking maybe they crawled in by accident. By the second time I went to feed him, I saw more of these bugs actually inside the airtight bucket where I store all his food. I’ve never had this issue with any other brand. The third time, it got even worse: I found dried worms and even some that were still alive. Today, the bucket was just infested with black bugs and worms. This is absolutely disgusting and unhealthy for animals. I’ve had to contact Amazon about returning it, and now I have to take my dog to the vet to make sure he hasn’t gotten worms from this food. It’s way overpriced for the quality, and I’ve never seen anything like this happen with dog food before. I don’t know if it was a factory issue or what, but it’s just unacceptable. Do not buy this product.

My dog has allergies to poultry. Apparently this is a pretty common allergy for a golden doodle. My vet suggested we try the salmon formula of Purina Pro Plan. We gradually introduced this new food into his old food until we replaced it fully. I can't even begin to explain the difference in our dog since we have made the switch. It does smell stronger than the Purina Chicken and Rice formula we were using, but my dog doesn't seem to mind and eats every meal with the same enthusiasm. I would caution you to consult your vet before changing your dog's food. I've made that mistake before with another dog, it was a very messy mistake! I love that Amazon offers delivery of dog food. I use the subscribe and save feature for this and have been pleased. My dog's health has improved, he's happy and eating, and although this formula is slightly more expensive than the chicken and rice formula it is worth it in folds.
