The scent of this spray is lovely but intense. It is really nice compared to the chemical smell of most brands. I have been making my own bug spray to keep it safer, and this brand uses all the same ingredients I would use. I don't worry about spraying on my young son. Keep in mind, sprays like this are bug "deterrents". Meaning, the oils used will keep bugs away just by its aroma. So you can still get bug bites if the bugs FIND you because it does not deter them from biting. However, it does an excellent job keeping them away and smells so lovely. Spray a little on you, and your surroundings and you're good to go

I think this worked as a good repellant and I did like the fresh citrus scent. Downside is that it will stain your clothes. I used this on vacation in the west Caribbean area. I'm on my 3rd wash trying to get this off my clothing. I'm trying dawn dish soap now and letting it sit as my last chance to get the stain out. It's basically like a grease stain. Fingers crossed and lesson learned. If you need to get close to the hem of any part of your clothing I suggest spraying your hands and rubbing it on your skin. Also if your skin comes in contact with your clothes it will also stain. It's like putting olive oil on your skin, it will rub off onto clothing and stain. However, once the oil soaks I to your skin, it does not rub off as easily. I really hope I can get it out of my 2 fav. Articles of clothing. It's just where I crossed my legs and one leg stained the pants and shorts of the other leg. I have used dawn before on grease and it worked. Good luck. No zika!! :)

I live in PA, idk if that makes a difference but the bugs around here go crazy on hikes. Still got some bites. Maybe just go ham with the spray.

Early into the season, but we have a lot of insects in our yard and it seems to work. Smells strongly of lemongrass, but that's not a bad thing! It actually is a nice combination of scents, I just had to have my daughter rinse off before going to bed otherwise I think her sheets would have smelled of it. Contains: 10% Castor Oil, 3.65 Lemongrass oil, 3.4 Citronella, 1.3 Cedar, 1.25 Rosemary, 1% Peppermint and .2 Geranium.
