This Millett is very good and i love it

All of the millets have an extremely harsh chemical smell. Millets naturally have an earthy smell.. but this smell was beyond that. I noticed the foxtail millets had the most pungent chemical smell. I thought maybe if I washed, soaked and then cooked them that it would help, but it didn’t. I could still smell and also taste the chemicals. I had to throw them out. I will not be purchasing from this brand again.

Easy to cook. Use for my dogs with irritable bowel symptoms.

I cook this like rice. I use a 3:1 water to millet ratio and cook in a clay pot. Make sure to soak overnight before cooking.

I have used one pack so far. Easy to cook in the rice cooker. Comes out well! However, no where on the packet does it say that it is organic although it is listed as organic. For that reason, I am giving it 3 stars.

I'd never cooked with proso millet before, so this was a fun one to try! I rinsed it first, then cooked it like rice. Easy! It came out fluffy with a mild, slightly nutty flavor that we all liked.I like having another whole grain option in the pantry, especially one that's gluten-free. Great rice substitute, we ate it with chicken curry. I also like having another whole grain option in the pantry that's naturally gluten free. We eat a lot of rice, so it's nice to have something different to rotate in every once in a whileI will say the bag I got was green, which is different than the purple packaging listed. The only tip I'd give is to rinse it before cooking, and if you want it fluffy, let it sit covered for a few minutes after it's done cooking before fluffing it with a fork. It turned out good, and I'll definitely use it again.
