Stagg Stovetop Pour-Over Coffee and Tea Kettle - Gooseneck Teapot with Precision Pour Spout, Built-in Thermometer, Stainless Steel, 1 Litre

This is not only a wonderful example of industrial design, but also the most controllable and comfortable pour-over kettle I've used. The pour on this 1.3 version is amazing - I can't get it to mis-pour even if I try. The counterweighted handle isn't a gimmick either - it really does make it more comfortable to hold while pouring. My only (very minor) criticism is the temperature gauge which, although marked in both Celsius and Fahrenheit, clearly favours the latter with the °C temperatures marked out at odd 11° intervals rather than the more logical 10. I'd much prefer a Celcius only version or, better yet, a digital one. Other than that, my only concern is how the matt black finish will hold over time up to use on a gas hob — I suspect the polished steel might've been a better bet in that regard, but the black is just so damn pretty!

This kettle is pure class. Well designed and a pleasure to use. Holds heat well and the temperature gauge on the top is clearly laid out so you know you are in the right temperature range. Good in the hand and precise with its pouring.

I haven't had a chance to use it, it was confiscated immediately by my designer daughter.... but I had time to appreciate the beautiful design. I also liked the functionality of the temperature gauge a lot.

Only gave it 4 stars because from room temperature to boiling it takes around 10minutes to complete. But also I would like to point out that we are using a induction type cooker so that may be the issue. Otherwise I love this and would most probably buy the electric version.

Such a nice pour. Never had a crema this thicc before. Looks snazzy on the countertop. The temperature gauge on top is great.

Fellow Stagg kettles are nice objects, they look beautiful and test pouring seems to produce a nice water flow for a V60 pour over. I went for the chrome option to see if it would work on my induction hob, it doesn't, that's fine the product page says it doesn't, but was worth a shot. This isn't the reason for my low score though. I used an induction hob converter (which works fine with my other non-induction pots) which basically makes my hob a hot plate style stovetop. It turns out that the bottom of my Stagg kettle isn't flat and can easily rock side to side. With a hot plate this means there is an air gap between the hob and the kettle and therefore it takes forever to heat up. I'd expect to heat half a litre of water in a few minutes, not 10+ with my hob on its boost setting. The whole kettle shakes too due to the uneven base too which is harmless but quite weird. I dare say on a gas hob this would go unnoticed as the way it transfers heat is different, but for those who have non-induction electric hobs this is basically useless. For £70 it's disappointing to see the quality control isn't there to have the absolute basics right.

Love this except the shiny metal ring between the handle and the pot. My thumb natually wonders there while pouring and it gets very very hot. They show users wrapping their thumb around or placing their thumb on the flat nub of the handle. I might just be holding it wrong, but they could have designed it better. Things I like - 1. Decent pour. I can pour a stream of tea from a relatively high height without water splashing. Gooseneck allows very accurate control of pour. 2. Pot heats uniformly. The selected material distributes heat quite well. 3. I never knew how much I needed the counterbalanced handle. Makes pouring super easy. 4. Matte finish is water repellent. 5. Inside of pot has not stained from softened hard water after a month of use. 6. About 400 ml of water heats to boiling in 7 minutes where I'm at. 7. Looks classy. 8. I like how the thermometer comes out. I use this for tea and just bought the $3 tea thermometer as a replacement from the Fellowproducts website. I love how they offer replacement parts for reasonable prices. I use a glass top electric stove. No issues with the matte finish peeling or flaking or anything. I want to try getting the Raven's tea steeper and seeing if that is partially compatible with the Stagg. Things to improve - 1. Metal ring on handle getting hot 2. Max fill mark could be a lot more prominent

Esta tetera ademas de bonita es muy funcional. Cuesta un poco el hacerte a la temperatura usando los fogones, pero una vez que das con los tiempos es fácil alcanzar esos 93 grados para los cafés de filtro El asa es cómoda y permite verter el agua poco a poco sin mucha experiencia. Pros 🟢 Termómetro en grados F y C 🟢 Fácil de verter el agua Contras 🤷‍♂️ Ninguno!

Enfin, une bouilloire à café au design élégant, qui n'est pas détruite par une production bon marché. Ceci est un produit supérieur. Il est conçu pour fonctionner correctement et pour être utilisé avec plaisir. À la troisième tentative, j'ai finalement acheté un produit à cet effet qui mérite d'être conservé. Ça marche et c'est beau.
