GREAT BUY! BORSII CALIFORNIA KING 18” HIGH BED FRAME!
We brought the California King frame back in April 2023. I attached one of the sites pictures for the one we have and will include more later. Two years to a T and it’s still going strong! It was very easy to assemble, great price for the size and quality! Worth the $200 we paid and $500-1000 we didn’t have to pay! It looks amazing, very clean, sleek, modern looking! It’s very sturdy and we don’t hear any noise. We are big tall people and have even watched movies on it with the kids and still holding up! Our mattress is about 12-14 inch; I can’t recall exactly and firm. I would say get a deep fitted sheet that fully covers your mattress. Since our frame is 18” high and the mattress also higher, you can see from afar if a sheet is not fully covering. Get a comforter or blanket that is California King so it will look nice when made up. Because the mattress is high, I don’t see the footboard when laying. It has not been a problem ever and in fact when I want to sit nearer the tv on wall at the end of the bed, I can feel the extra support there from the footboard just under where my mattress stops. So it worked out. I would’ve worried the footboard would loosen if feet or anything pushed up against it. Our frame has the bar in middle of headboard and footboard and it’s attached to the bar along the middle of the main frame, so any blankets we pull higher up and fold so we can easily tuck at the foot, otherwise we don’t tuck them and place over the footboard, which I don’t mind, but looks better to when tucked. I prefer metal over wood, because it’s easy to clean, more functional and doesn’t attract termites…I think lol. Wood tends to crack and break, but this metal frame holds up to its reputation all the way! No scratches, bends, breaks, screws missing, paint missing, and it’s been two years! A great buy and we’ll worth it!!

Solid and easy to assemble!
A very nicely engineered bedframe, that was also relatively straightforward to assemble!

Pretty good
I could have gotten a folding deal with no assembly but this was well worth it, didn't take too long (about an hour) to put together and it was easy enough, not frustrating and more than enough bolts were provided. My only regret is getting the XL Twin and not getting a double bed. If I didn't have bed I would get one in king. The storage space underneath is a great deal. It's about what they say it is. The reviews that say it is less are for an option with a wooden headboard (check out the pictures). I matched it up with a twelve inch thick hybrid store brand mattress from a big box store where you have to be a member to meet the mark. I see a very similar bed only with a higher headboard, that would be nice. Overall very nice for the price, storage space seems sturdy, assembly is worth the end result and not a major pain. We'll see how my son likes it when he comes home from school. Giving four stars only because I have not actually slept on it but I'm impressed especially at this price, very nice. I bought another one Queen sized I liked the first one so much. However, this time the lower couplers that re used to secure the pieces of the footboard & headboard together were not soldered properly and I cannot fully tighten three out of four. I need replacements. The bed is secure but if you grab the coupling knobs that hold the pieces together 3 out of four shift and move slightly. Need replacements, the part that recieves the screw is not secured so the screws cannot be secured properly, honestly I think they should replace all four because one is holding but the weld was weak on the one that is secure. I would still recommend the bed especially if these concerns are addressed. I never got the parts replaced on the queen model. The bed is holding up very good overall, no issues, but two of the four fittings have deficiency and are not tight, does not affect bed performance however. The twin size bed has zero issues and inspired me to order a king and queen but after assembling the queen I sent the king back new in box.

Sturdy for teen with autism
I bought this bed frame for my autistic son and it was very easy to assemble. He is primarily nonverbal and he was able to hand me pieces when I told him the number, which was really a sweet thing for us. All the pieces fit as intended, there was no wonky malformed piece or terrible screw holes or anything. The bed is sturdy because my son is a big guy. I used heavy zip ties to hold the little square metal slat bars in place in the center because I didn’t want him to be able to get a bar out and wield it. My only thing is for some reason I got a ready tall frame. It’s very high off the ground and I regret that decision because I had to order a special bed step stool for it for safety… I guess in my mom brain I was thinking it would be easier to clean under the bed if he squirrels away junk like he tends to do. Anyway, I’m happy with how sturdy the bed is because he’s a big dude. The mattress does slide a bit side to side, but I prefer that over having an angle iron piece that holds the mattress in but could hurt him because it juts upward or something. I like that there’s no box springs with a thick mattress, box springs are cheap and annoying. (Please disregard our boarded up windows. They are glass with plexi and then slats over them for safety— IYKYK 🙂).

Garbage Product!!!
This bed is absolute junk. I wanted a tall, sturdy bed as my husband and I are tall, sturdy people. I ordered this bed on March 20, 2025. It lasted less than 10 months. It has been self-loosening since a month after we got it. We were regularly tightening up every bolt on the bed to stop the wiggle and noise. 3 months ago the side support legs started playing outwards. We had to run a ratchet strap around all 3 middle legs to keep them straight. Today, when I laid down for bed, the center leg completely snapped off which collapsed the entire bed in on itself. Now the bed is garbage and I am sleeping on the floor at 6 months pregnant. Do not buy this bed!!!

Sturdy, beautiful bed frame. BEWARE, center bar attached to footboard (challenging for bed linens).
This bed frame is beautiful and sturdy. I love the powder coating (easy to clean) and the 16-inch clearance from the floor to bottom of the bed frame is great for storage. The bed frame with my mattress on it, does not move or squeak and my mattress has not shifted (my mattress is a very heavy Cal King and 14 inches thick). It took just under two hours to assemble. The 30-minute assembly advertised is hard to achieve (unless you have put many of these beds together before). It took me and two others 30 minutes just to take everything out of the box, lay it out, read the instructions and inventory parts. Also...BEWARE...depending on the length of your bedspread/comforter and height of your mattress, you may have a difficult time draping the bedspread/comforter behind the foot board, as there is a center bar attached to the foot board which doesn't allow for smooth draping below this attached center bar. The center bar also makes it difficult to use a split corner bed skirt, unless the bed skirt is altered (cut for the center bar). Having a bed skirt was a must have for me, in order to hide stuff stored under the bed. NOTE: I ended up buying a very inexpensive, regular bed skirt from Amazon and made three cuts in it. One for each end corner and one for the center bar. I'm not a seamstress and didn't sew the raw edges of the cuts, so it's not perfect...but worked good enough.

After 1 Year
After a year to the day, here’s our thoughts. We originally got this because of the look, the height, and the sturdiness. A year later, it still looks great! The height is also great. Our 130 lb Great Pyrenees/Poodle mix used to wake me up in the night to take him to the bathroom by putting his wet nose in my face, and that was not a pleasant experience. But since we got this bed, he’s not as prone to doing that. So A+ for big dog parents. 😂 My one qualm is that it’s gotten a little squeaky since first got it. It didn’t squeak at all at first, but now every time one of us sits down or flips over in the night, it creaks. I do think that could be fixed by tightening all the screws though, so don’t count that against the bed! Just be prepared to re-tighten after a bit! :) Overall, we’re really impressed by the crazy amount of support (no need at all for a box spring!), great height, and quality. Definitely, DEFINITELY recommend for the price!!

Squeaky Frame
The frame looks very nice and was easy to assemble, but it is extremely squeaky! I’ve tried various things to dampen the sound, but it doesn’t work. Every time you move it makes loud squeaking sounds that easily wake you up. Very disappointing when it claims to no be so squeaky.
