My scalp is itchy and after the fourth use, it was red. I added some skin oil to my scalp so I could sleep. If you wash your hair each time you shower or more than once a week, you may experience dryness and I suggest a good scalp oil if you intend to continue using each hair wash. I love the black shampoo! it smells nice and is black just like my soul! lol It says it's part of a fade system, but I was just looking for a charcoal shampoo as it is my understanding that charcoal shampoo can help with debris and other product build up, I have been dying my hair with black box dye and after so many boxes, my hair was starting to feel thick and stiff and just nasty feeling, when I used the charcoal shampoo and conditioner my hair felt free, and soft! and it did not fade my black hair dye, which is great!
