I absolutely love this soap! My hair and skin love it as well! I feel clean after and am less likely to get stinky! My skin has been clearer as well! I have curly hair, and my curls look so nice after washing with this! I also normally have to use conditioner, but I can go without it with this soap! I have been trying to use more natural products with no chemicals. This was a soap recommended to me, and I am so glad! Its smell is nice to me, but it’s definitely a kind of incensey or herbal smell. I could see why some might not like it, but you don’t overly smell like it after washing. So even if you don’t like the smell, it would be an easy thing to get past for the benefits of it. It came quickly and I have had 0 issues with it! I definitely suggest this soap over any body soap, shampoo, or conditioner.

These Castile type soaps can be tricky. I especially favor the ones with laurel extract in them as it seems to lend a touch of astringency to the soap which for me means 'feeling' fresh and clean coming out of the shower. The 30% laurel to 70% olive oil seems to be the proper mix. Many of these soaps don't tell you the ratio of one to the other, so you buy them and hope for the best. Usually it's hard to tell if any laurel extract is in there at all. That's what I mean by tricky. These are large bars with the (for me anyway) traditional sharp edges that takes a few turns with a washcloth to smooth them down. Packaged well and properly cured before shipping.

I'm buying aleppo soap since years, to wash my hair and body and i just love it so much. The earthy smell and very clean but not stripped feeling this gives me is incomparable to anything else out there. Only 2 ingredients, completely natural - I'm in forever!

I admit I am a very picky soap customer. My favorite bars are made from olive oil, not coconut or palm oil, with minimal ingredients. I was very excited about this traditional olive and laurel four-bar soap set, which was pictured in a natural canvas bag. Unfortunately the canvas was literally a front for a closed plastic bag, which had an appalling burnt chemical smell upon opening my delivery. The odor penetrated my other orders, and I tried contacting the seller with no response. I had expected the traditional "earthy" spice fragrance of laurel, but even after airing out all four bars and rinsing the surfaces, this is not the Aleppo Soap I had hoped for. I'll try another brand and keep my fingers crossed!

Smells and looks great. Holds up in the shower and sink. You can wash your hair and skin with this, I love that it is ancient, natural, and clean.

I’ve used Aleppo soap before but this one gave me a rash. When I used Aleppo soap before I used it multiple days in a row and never had any skin issues, however this brand gave me a bad body rash especially in areas that are compressed such as lower back, around waistband, side of breasts, and on my hips where I lift weights. It took a while to clear as well, even with Medrol and steroid creams. I don’t know if it’s this brand or because of the high laurel content but be careful if you have sensitive skin and do a patch test first if you’re not sure.
