Neither on the product or the leaflet it came with states how long that the dye needs to stay on the surface and how it should be wiped off. I got lucky by applying it with a disposable sponge brush and let it for 30 seconds before wiping it off. It worked for me. The color turns out to be beautiful.

Goes on easy and cleans up really easy. Once dry I used clearcoat over this and it looked really good.

Das Zeug ist ungiftig und färbt nur Holz. Bei der Anwendung an senkrechten Flächen sollte man ein bisschen aufpassen, das wir schwierig, das da nichts daneben geht -- spricht: auf den Boden tropft. Passiert dies, ist das nur auf ungeschützten hölzernen Flächen blöd. Meinen Laminat Boden hat das Zeug nicht verfärbt. Sonst ist die Anwendung leicht, das Ergebnis nach Trocknen und Ölen, ist schön. I would give this 10 stars if possible. Amazing product, I bought a tester pot before ordering this size and was just so impressed with the ease of use. It has restored 2 coffee/side tables and will also do the matching dining table and chairs. The no smell claim is 100% true. Which I realised with the tester pot and is a real bonus. I applied with a sponge and used a small brush on the grooves on table legs. It was so simple. It dries/is absorbed so quickly I managed to do several coats over a couple of hours. I highly recommend this product and seller. The packaging was above what I expected, another 10 stars for that. Arrived safely and very quickly. Many thanks to the seller. The little hand written note that came with the tester pot is a lovely touch too. I will be contacting the seller to ask for advise on adding a shine to my finished furniture and am so happy to reccomend the Littlefair's family run business. 10 stars!
