Eclipse Headstock Tuner, Red, by D'Addario

I wanted a simple clip-on tuner without loads of unnecessary features, and this does the job very well. It clips securely to the headstock, the display is clear and easy to read, and it responds quickly when tuning each string. I’ve found it accurate and much more convenient than using a phone app, especially when I just want to pick up the guitar and play. It’s also small enough to leave on the guitar without getting in the way, and the purple colour makes it a bit less boring than the usual black accessories. Simple, reliable and does exactly what I bought it for. Very happy with it.

I picked up the D'Addario Eclipse Headstock Clip-On Guitar Tuner after seeing it recommended by a few fellow musicians, and I’m genuinely impressed. For the price, you really can’t go wrong—this is one of those rare cases where “budget” doesn’t mean you have to compromise on quality. The tuner clips on securely and feels sturdy, not cheap or flimsy like some other options out there. The display is bright and clear, so I can tune up even in low light, whether I’m at home or at a noisy gig. It reacts quickly and accurately to each string, which saves me time and hassle before playing. Honestly, I sometimes forget it’s even there because it’s so compact and lightweight. What really stands out is the value for money. D’Addario is a trusted brand, and this tuner lives up to their reputation. If you’re looking for something reliable that won’t break the bank, I’d absolutely recommend giving this a try. It’s perfect for beginners and seasoned players alike.

Very good. Easy to use and does the job.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this tuner. It’s a good size so it doesn’t get annoying on the headstock - easy to use - accurate. It occasionally takes you to the wrong note but only for a second and not consistently. Also the display is pretty cool. It also automatically turns off after a little while which is really helpful, because I never remember and would likely have drained the battery already if not for this feature. D’addario are a well known name, and for the low price I was very happy with this purchase. I even got it on a deal and paid less!

Good bit of kit very clear to read

This is a nice quality, compact tuner. It sits very neatly against the headstock so I'm happy just to leave it there all the time. The main body can be tilted up and down on the clip, as well as rotate, for viewing at any angle. Also it doesn't rattle, like the Korg Pitchclip does. It doesn't have settings for different instruments, it just shows what key you're in with an easy to read colour display. It comes set at 440kHz, and can be adjusted up and down from there, although this isn't a feature that I'll use. Best of all is that it just works, and reacts very quickly, even in noisy environments. I've now bought two more!

Works well, more sensitive than some other ones I have - seems to pick up low strings on bass better

Easy to use, easy to read and reasonably accurate for a guitar tuner. Good value for money too.

I've owned several tuners in my life and this is the cheapest material and poorest pitch of any of all of them. I don't understand why everyone else gives it such good reviews.

I’ve been using this D’Addario clip-on tuner for quite a while, and it has been very convenient and reliable. It is compact and lightweight, so I can leave it attached to the headstock without it getting in the way. The clip holds securely, and it’s easy to reposition when needed. The display is bright and easy to read, and tuning is quick and straightforward. In my experience, the tuning accuracy and response are very good, which is the most important thing for a tuner. I also like how simple it is to use. Clip it on, turn it on, tune the instrument, and you’re done. There’s really no unnecessary complexity. After long-term use, it has continued to work well and has become a regular part of my guitar setup. Good quality, compact size, accurate tuning, and very easy to use.
