This blanket showed up in a timely manner and in excellent condition. It's sturdy and the hooks work great. I wasn't fond of the screws but I always have drywall screws on hand so it was barely an issue. The real test was "can it help keep the noise downstairs from drifting into my workroom?" No. I recorded music from my pc (in my workroom then outside and downstairs) and it demonstrated what I already knew. The product knocks down the sound level but not enough that it isn't noticeable. Regardless, I like the product enough to consider purchasing one for our bedroom door and the stairwell. I'd like to know, between the three, if the noise can be reduced enough that I feel comfortable in my work space.

When it said blanket I thought it was going to be made out of some fabric but sadly no. It's mostly made out of plastics like you would find on a tarp but not as sturdy. The item rips very easily but does the job as you would want but not to the degree. He would probably expect from the price you're paying. You could probably do better with punching some holes in some travel fabric that you get from U-Haul than with this product.

Does dampen noise. If you are looking to block noise, perhaps another product from the manufacturer would be a better choice.Be sure to measure grommet spacing before hanging. Center grommet on the blanket I received is not in the center of the blanket. Spacing between grommets are not exactly equidistant.Can be a bit tricky to hang if you have 8' (96") ceiling being that the blanket length is 95". You'll also want to factor in the hook and the distance above the top of the blanket. I purposely let the blanket touch the floor for approximately 1" to be sure my door was completely covered.As the saying goes, "measure twice - cut once." Hope this was helpful.

Got it for music room and it doesn’t block the sound enough!! Good, heavy comforter works better!!!

Extremely poor quality. Stuffing coming out the blanket. Threads not all the way. And SUPER TOXIC SMELL! SUPER TOXIC!

Works as described but has taken about 3 months for the smell to disipate

I used this to drape over my dog's crate. Doesn't control the noise, but does block out the light.

Do not purchase. Made absolutely no difference whatsoever.
