Review: Very accurate and readable thermometer - This is a very nice pool thermometer. The numbers are easy to read and the unit assumes the correct posture immediately on going into the water.
Review: Does exactly what I want it to - Large (9"?), seems sturdy - still, it is a mercury thermometer and would likely break if dropped (as any liquid thermometer would). Very legible, even for 74 year old eyes. I bought it to check the water temp when I kayak. Does the job. The two-foot line attached to it keeps it close. I'm quite satisfied.

Appears to work pretty well. If you don't submerge it by hand, it will float sideways and isn't accurate.
