Universal Phone/Camera Battery External Charger & USB Port - Desktop Charger

This is a very good little gadget. My husbands old blackberry died on him and he thought it was just needing a new battery. New battery purchased but this did not work. When I looked at the phone itself I could see that the charging port was in a bit of a state and would not accept the charging lead. I found this universal phone charger and thought I'd give it a try. You do have to line up the points with the charging area on the battery and once this is done properly you will see a green light with 4 bars. Each bar represents 25% of charge so you can see the progress. To be fair I did have to charge this overnight - about 18 hours in all - but it did fully charge the battery. Now back in phone and working fine.

Purchased in Oct 2025, lasted a couple of uses before no longer charging. Warranty appears non existent. Best stick to a specific charger for your battery than this generic 'one fits all' approach.

Seems ok, had to mess about with the switch a few times for it to start charging. One of my batteries won't charge for some reason, but I have one charging right now. It feels a bit cheap and light but at the price you can't really go wrong.

What a great little gadget, I have a harmony one remote that needs to be placed on a dock to charge that doesn't sound too much faff but it is, not any more, the charger is well made and works perfectly, follow the instructions and you can't go wrong, just move the sliding contact pins to match the position of the +/- on the battery.

I had a camera that lost its charging cable so I ordered this charger. I popped in the battery and plugged it in. It took quite a while to charge but not nearly as long as some people have said in their reviews. Some even complained about the lack of instructions. Trust me, if you need instructions to use this simple gadget you shouldn't even be allowed to change a light bulb. My battery was fully charged from empty in around six hours. One thing I would point out is that it doesn't tell you on the device which is the + or - connector, the - is the one nearest the display. Great little gadget and I recommend it.

Very clever piece of kit, which arrived completely without instructions. As others have said, the trick is to adjust the terminals by sliding them along so that they align with contacts on the battery you are trying to charge. Plug in and do a double check that it's charging by making sure that the battery symbol on the screen is indicating that it's charging. The green light is NOT an indicator that it's charging, just that it's plugged in. If you do that then it works perfectly. It even works out the polarity, so it doesn't matter which way up the battery is. This was bought for a charity that sells cameras donated to our charity shop online. Cameras often arrive without a charger so cannot be charged and checked and have to be sold cheaply as untested. This is a game changer for us as we will now be able to check any camera that arrives with its battery!

When it arrived and I used it the LED screen was flickering and did not charge the battery at all.

I bought this with some trepidation having seen mixed reviews, however it works fine. I think those who have failed to get it working have not got it set correctly. The two charging spikes slide back and forth and can also be separated if necessary. They need to be positioned to align correctly onto the right tabs on your battery, otherwise there will be no charging. The confusion comes because, if you have set it incorrectly, the green light still comes on and shows fully charged. If it is set correctly, the icons in the green light flash on and off to show how the charge is progressing. If your battery is flat and you get a solid "fully charged" indication, then you have not set it up correctly. Once correctly set, it charges fine in about the same timescale as plugging your phone in. I drop one star because some form of instruction leaflet with the product would have made this clear and avoided the previous negative feedback.

if you have an old phone and the charging port has stopped working this is a solution to recharge and be able to access numbers or files from the phone.at 350mAh output it won't win any speed awards.it took 6 hours to get a 2000mAh battery to 60% indicating when back in the phone....a lot of older phones with smaller batteries couldn't be charged at high rates it wouldn't be safe .so that's probably why it's a low output....the design is intended for a battery with the connections facing out on the end but it is possible to connect a battery with the connections on the underneath flat side.what you do is lift the front end up and over the pins having positioned the pins where they need to be then place a small weight on top to keep some weight down on the connection .a 125 ml small bottle with water in it worked for me see photo
