Do not underestimate. Best value is best smoker.
This is the best little kitchen thing I gadget I’ve ever bought it barely put any smoke up just a light sent it smelled good. It did not set my alarms off and I did use the air vent on the stove. I took two hours to cook it a little lower to a couple of chicken legs and it fell off the bone and it was beautifully smoked. The meat was wonderful. This worked way better than when I thought and I was trying to figure out a way to do it, and I looked at YouTube. A lady said to cut down on the smoke use the clamps for files that are metal at Dollar tree so I went and bought some I clipped four corners. I barely had any smoke just once while I had a little puff out and I know now I would take some skin off my meat to get more smoke on the meat, but it is excellent. I’m very half of this product and if I could buy something for somebody for Christmas or a gift, I would do this one if they don’t smoke meat already thank you so much. The price was very acceptable. I cannot think I could’ve done without this at this point.

Small and Easy to Use!!!
this is great stuff and works really well. there was a lot of smoke escaping even with the lid on securely but a wrapping a little foil did the trick of keeping all the smoke in. just make sure your kitchen is well ventilated just to be cautious. the chicken was really juicy and has nice BBQ/Smoked color on it but the pork chops were dry and looked steamed and didn't have the sizzle or flavor of BBQ or Even smoke. Ribs were the best even thought i had to cut up each individual rib. but overall i'm very happy with this purchase and looking forward to trying new wood chips and a bigger smoker.

Good product!
What a nice little product! Quality Construction though and though! Trapped smoke well, very little leakage. Only problem is it's not tall enough to even fit a 4lb. some thing. The clearance from the rack to the lid is like no more than 2 in. So I sliced my meat to fit and smoked. Turned out great! I'll probably get a taller one and keep this for beef or pork patties, rope sausage, thinner stuff.

Beautiful amazing smoked fish on a stove top
By the way the pan starts to turn black after the first time but they say that's normal it's the pants seasoning itself it's kind of a bronzy color but the food tastes wonderful and yes a little bit of smoke leaks out of it but not enough like I could stand in the kitchen while cooking and I'm not dying and I'm at asthmatic so yesterday I cook salmon today I cook tuna and did a quick video for you guys because this stuff is amazing that salmon yesterday tasted So Divine I can't wait to eat the tuna today

Light weight and no drip pan
I've used Cameron Stovetop Smokers for two decades or more and always thought Cameron made a quality product. This one probably works okay, but the light weight and the fact that it didn't have a drip pan (instructions say to put a piece of tin foil over the wood chips) . . . well, I just packed it up and stored it away to try on the grill or to keep something warm - should have sent it back. I'll probably donate it to the Thrift Store in town that donates to charities. I should have known from the low price. I went to a local kitchen store and bought the Cameron Mini Stovetop Smoker (3 1/2"x 7"x11") for twice the price, but the same quality as the 3 1/2"x11"x15" that I'm used to.

Smokin' fool
I love smoked vegtibles, fish, and game. In the summer I fire up a grill or barrel smoker at least a couple of times a week. In the fall, harvest time, even more often. I live in Ohio where the weather gets bitter cold in January and February. I find myself cooking outside less often on those cold windy days. This is the idea behind the purchase of this stove top smoker. I tried out the stove top smoker with onions. Something simple and inexpensive should results be less than desirable. I used a tablespoon of the sawdust included in the package, and did nothing more than peel and quarter the onions. I have a gas range and used the medium low fire setting. The smoke started up within two minutes. I like a deep pantina, the onions took 45 minutes. I knew the lid would not contain 100% of the smoke, but I found out that I have to "tweek" the lid a bit more to reduce smoke escape. I made this trial run in September, on a mild day so I could comfortably open the windows. The pros- Easy setup/clean up Economical to own and operate Minimum storage space Great smoke flow within the chamber Outstanding results, food wise.. great color and taste Many additional cooking options, (not yet tested.) The cons- The escaping smoke, even after tweeking, is a bit more than expected. A long slow smoked food would compromise air quality in a medium to small kitchen. Ventilation is needed to keep the smoke from being overwhelming. That said, I turned on a box fan to draw air in from a side room, and a ceiling fan in the dining room on the other side to lessen the smoke. This kept my daughter, who's eyes are very sensitive to smoke, from watering. I may cover the pan entirely in foil on days not practical to vent outside air. Will I recommend this stove top smoker? Yes! Would I buy again? Yes! Will I use it in the tiny fishing cabin on an ice fishing trip? Nope!

Dangerous Garbage
I love to smoke meat and fish. The only problem is when the weather turns. So, I thought this would be the perfect compromise for those wintry days, or times I only wanted to smoke a small amount. Well what a mistake that was. It arrived in a timely manner, decently packaged, but there the love ends. It is definitely smaller on the interior than what I expected, but that was not the worst of it. This lid is so ill fitting that it is almost a 2 person job to get the stupid thing opened and closed. Obviously not ideal when dealing with an item that is very hot. It is actually dangerous to try and open this thing unless you want to let your food sit inside and dry out as it takes forever to cool down. The manufacturer apparently knows they have an issue with it as there are instructions as to what to do if the lid does not slide off easily, but even that does not work. We monkeyed around with it, but could never get the lid to slide easily on and off, nor provide a decent seal so plenty of smoke escapes making the entire process futile. In the end this is too dangerous to fool with.

Looks sort of flimsy, but WORKS GREAT!
This thing is really easy to use, and smokes stuff worry free. We use it for fish, but it would likely work well with other meats. Just sprinkle in some of the wood flakes, put in the food, place it over any burner on your stove (the flakes are in the center, so that's the only part that needs to get hot), turn on medium heat, and in 20 - 30 minutes you've got a smoked and cooked dish ready to eat. Also, it doesn't throw off as much smoke as you might think. Just a little leaks out of one end. Note: The metal is thick enough to work just fine on an induction stove.

product size not as advertised - very disappointed
Smoker advertised as 11" x 7" x3.5" However when using it I was found it to be only a little over 2" high and as a result I cant cook the quantity I expected
