expensive but cost effective
I bought an XL but it was way too big. The L is very roomy (I'm a UK 16). Used it on multiple domestic flights in Asia, where luggage was very restricted. Worked perfectly, and zips on this new version are much sturdier. I filled pockets with heavy items and put it in my main case until check-in, got it out, folded it over my arm and then draped it over my hand luggage. Stuck it in a tray and straight through security with no problems (and they were querying everyone elses hand luggage). Even stuffed full, it fitted easily into planes overhead locker. The big pockets are great although a lot of the small pockets are a bit too small. On one journey I wore it for about half an hour and it was fine, as the temperature was 40 degrees+ it wasn't too hot because of the vest style and fabric. Its very expensive for what it is, but did save a fortune on possible excess baggage. Will use on easyjet and ryanair at home and wear it with less bulky items in the pockets for train journeys.for the convenience of having everything easily to hand and secure. Design and layout of the pockets is well thought out and items are easy to access. Washed it and it dried quickly and good as new. Would recommend.

Very useful for frequent travellers
This is my second jacket. I had to buy one that was a bit too small last time. This is better and it is great for going through security. I can put two MacBooks in the pockets. And they are in clear plastic covers so none of that 'take your laptops out of their covers' nonsense. Plus I can put my watch, coins, belt in there and zip it all up. Safe and you know where everything is. The only remaining niggle is that the zips will snag on the material if you are not careful. My first one ripped as a result. Today the front zip snagged. I was able to solve the problem without damage but this is a problem that certainly needs to be solved.

Good product and excellent quality.
Bought recommended size 2Xl. Also measured my chest. Product arrived excellent product and quality. Unfortunately 2Xl was too small, have ordered 3Xl. I hope to receive full refund for 2Xl

A good idea, but poorly executed.
[see also my review of the AyeGear J25 jacket which I ordered at the same time with similar comments] I wanted a Scottevest, but they are not readily available in the UK, so I figured I give this AyeGear V26 vest a shot. It has a lot of good ideas with the pocket design and it's much lighter than the AyeGear J25 jacket, but the major grip was that I thought it was massively oversized. Amazon general sizing has a Medium with a 38" chest, but this Medium vest was 47"! When I checked the AyeGear website afterwards, they do publish it accurately as 47". Maybe because it was so big on me, but I didn't find the styling that flattering. It was rather square and shapeless. The zipper was also reverse from all my other men's jackets, where the pull is attached on the right side, but this was on the left. It also tended to catch in the fabric quite easily. I didn't have this issue with the jacket version. The upside is that there are lot of pockets that I think would be quite functional (see my photo of the jacket, but the vest has the same layout) and I haven't really found many other products out there. Fortunately there were free returns, which was great because I couldn't find a store nearby to test it out. In conclusion, I think a good idea, but it could have been better executed. If the sized it down more (big and baggy isn't so fashionable these days) and put a little more shape/style (I'm okay not carrying around a 15" laptop or full size tablet), then I would certainly look again. Hopefully it works out well for you though.

Good fit - a bit of space without being excessive
Appears well made. Good fit - a bit of space without being excessive. I got it for going on holiday, so until then I can't really say whether it's perfect - hence the four stars. I find it strange that the two external breast pockets, which have large storage areas, have such a small zipped opening. Compared to my Berghaus coat, for example, with large easy access zips the full width, this just seems unnecessarily awkward. Given that I can store everything inside the jacket it isn't an issue for me, but it does seem odd.

I like this. It's smart in an understated way
I like this. It's smart in an understated way, British, well designed and made, comfortable to wear and holds all your paraphernalia with ease. An excellent travelling garment and the iPad pockets are great for A4 papers folded in half for example.

Brilliant
Totally Brilliant, used it for flight to Tenerife. Kept everything safe. This is my second (the other one is black)

If you are going to fill the pockets get a larger size
Excellent idea for travelling. You need to get a larger fit as I had to return the first one as when you fill all the pockets up it will become too tight and lumpy looking.
