This little tea pot is ADORABLE! I love the diffuser for loose leaf tea. It’s fun to pour! And the lid stays on while you pour. Lots of fun colors! I will definitely be getting another one for a gift for my friend.

Shape of spout causes it to drip when pouring. Lid is not snug unless using with strainer. Looks cute, is microwaveable, size is good other design issues reduce rating to 3.

I've had this teapot for a couple of years and use it a few times a week. It's cute, has a flawless porcelain finish, and is evenly weighted for pouring with a comfortable handle. Generally, I use loose leaf tea instead of tea bags. The stainless steel strainer basket is a little flimsy - I have others that are made of thicker steel - but the mesh is fine enough to catch most of the leaves (like most strainers, a smattering of the finest dust collects at the bottom of the pot). But this pot has a couple of dingbat design features that are finally causing me to shop for another: 1) Jiggly freakin' lid. When the infuser basket is removed, the lid moves around when the teapot is inverted to pour. (See the lovely video I've provided.) Not only is this jarring, its DANGEROUS. When the pot is full, the scalding tea can come pouring out of the top of the pot and cascade on you and whatever is under it. I burned myself because of this when I first started using the pot. Either use a tea towel to hold tge pot carefully, including holding the lid down tightly, while pouring. Or, just buy a better pot already. 2) Darn drips and dribbles. This thing does not pour smoothly or steadily. The tea comes out in a jagged shoot of liquid that's too fast and sometimes spits little droplets elsewhere. It's difficult to control the flow despite the angle at which one tilts the pot while pouring. Then, the pot dribbles tea when it is lifted up, making a mess that needs mopping. A quality teapot will pour tea in a smooth, sinuous line of liquid that is a beauty to behold without extra drips, and the speed of the pour can be controlled easily. This teapot is *ahem* clearly not quality. Summary: avoid.

I wanted a simple tea pot with an infuser so I could have warm tea at the ready for study marathons. This was the right color, affordable, and gets the job done and, end of the day, that's what matters right? But it's not perfect. A lot of the other reviewers are correct--the lid is a bit wobbly and there is some spillage when pouring from a full pot. I use it on my counter so not a big deal. The production quality overall also seems inconsistent. Many of the pictures I have seen look fine but mine has slight color variation between the pot and the lid. I included a picture and its hard to make out in a photo but looking at it from across the room I can tell the lid is slightly more green than the rest of the pot. It picks at my OCD a bit. Which is a shame, because it's otherwise such a nice color. Now, I've never had a tea pot before so this may be normal BUT. I used a thermometer to see how well it holds heat and I'm going to say... mediocre? It keeps tea warm enough for a bit but the thermometer ticked down at a fairly consistent pace. It had dropped 10 degrees in about a 5 minute period which seems a bit quick to me. I can also feel considerable heat loss from outside the pot. The lid gets quite hot (which may be a problem for some since you need to hold the lid down while pouring.) The sides of the tea pot also get very hot. It just does not seem like it insulates well. But perhaps this is a common problem with tea pots given that tea cozies exist. (feedback on this is welcome!) Either way, I'm sure these are good things to consider when you buy this. It's a decent enough little pot but just some nagging issues. I plan on using mine for some time until I can afford a fancy one with better insulation science. (SCIENCE!)
