If you make the entire strip of tape tight, then again it will start to peel off the skin quite quickly. The objective was to progress during rehab of my knee - (no my knee doesn't drink or take drugs, it was an injury to the illiotibial band) - and I found the tape gave my outer knee good support without the restrictive and heavy feeling you get from neoprene supports.
