Ink doesn’t last!!
My epson printer doesn’t like aftermarket ink, so I buy the oem ink to prevent compatibility issues. I only gave 4 stars because I feel that the ink doesn’t last very long . I had a Hp printer for 10 years that was a lot better on ink. I only tried this epson printer because it was on sale. I will not buy another epson printer when this one dies!!

I am absolutely fed up with Epson’s ink racket on my Expression Home XP‑5200. I paid a premium price for these cartridges, and after just a few modest print jobs I’m already staring at a “low ink/toner” warning like I’ve been running a commercial print shop. Those messages are not harmless exaggerations; they’re the early sirens to the very real reality that the cartridges run dry far sooner than makes any sense for the money you pay.Epson loves to advertise efficiency and value, but when brand‑new, very expensive cartridges start triggering low‑ink alerts after so little real use, that’s not efficiency – that’s engineered dependency. The ink disappears so quickly that you’re constantly interrupted in the middle of normal tasks, forced back to the checkout screen for yet another set of cartridges. Meanwhile, Epson charges prices that rival some of the most expensive liquids on earth for supplies that behave more like disposable samples than serious, long‑lasting ink.At this point, I regret buying into the Epson XP‑5200 ecosystem at all. When you spend this much money on ink, you expect it to carry you through a reasonable amount of everyday printing, not to slam into “low” and then “empty” after what amounts to light home use. If you’re thinking about buying an Epson printer, consider this your warning: the real cost isn’t the printer – it’s watching expensive cartridges burn out quickly and having to keep paying to keep the thing alive.I had these cartridges for a little under 3 weeks with minimal usage.
