SOOFPET Super Quiet 3.2L Stainless Steel Pet Water Fountain - Suitable for Cats, Dogs and Other Pets

I bought this as a replacement for my car it flower fountain which as it is plastic had seen better days. The difference between this and the catit flower fountain is like night and day. This is so very quiet, if I couldn't see the water flowing from the " tap" spout, I would think it isn't even on! The water filter is quite small, about the size of a fig roll biscuit so I am not sure how long that will last and as it isn't the same as the other cat fountains I have had I am not sure if replacements are easy to come by however that doesn't really bother me too much as I only put filtered water in the fountain and as the water is constantly moving and in a stainless steel container it shouldn't get dirty too quickly. The bast is a stainless steel tub that is oblong so sits really nicely under the counter next to her food bowls, whereas the catit flower fountain being round stood out further and I would trip over it occasionally. The pump is free floating and can be removed completely for cleaning. The top is like some of the far more expensive models as it is completely flat and shallow , I believe this is to help wary cats drink whilst not soaking their whiskers. This top is also stainless steel, the only plastic is a single clip on one side where the power lead goes in and the little basket under the lid where the filter sits, so again easy to clean. The catit flower fountain has a deep top and it's curved and the splash from the flower goes all over the shop so can be off-putting to some cats. The tap feature is lovely, again the simply pops in and out so easy to clean again stainless steel. The power lead is a two part lead, it is USB however it comes with a 3 pin adapter so you get to choose whereas the catit only came with USB. As the price was the same as the current price for the catit flower fountain I took a gamble, and I am so pleased with this so far. I hope it lasts because so far I really like it.

This is not the first cat fountain that I have bought BUT, it is the first one I have found that can actually supply a replacement pump as well as filters. Once it arrived, it was astoundingly easy to put together. Being stainless steel, it is easy to clean and is also extremely easy to load with water. The volume of water it holds means that I do not need to worry about re-filling it every other day although I do make sure that the water is replaced every two or three days anyway. An excellent product and a reasonable price as well.

Cats loved it, but it kept stopping at random. I noticed that the blue light would be on while the pump stopped working. When that happened I noticed that USB plug adapter would get hot. Turning it off and on again made it work again. I suspected that the USB plug couldn’t supply enough power to keep the rotor moving, so I tried another USB plug. It worked a little better, and didn’t get so hot when the pump stopped. I tried cleaned the pump, checked the magnetic rotor and changed the filters, though there was no sign of a blockage. It worked for a bit, then stopped again. After a few weeks it just stopped entirely. The pump is dead, burnt out, the light no longer lights, and I’m left with an expensive metal water trough instead of a fountain.

My cat loves it, the water is always fresh and clean. Even using filtered water, my hometow has a lot o limescale and the filter in this fountain gives a 2 layer of protection to my little one. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, as I bought it 3 months ago and the pump is already not working.

Value of money, right size. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new one. Easy to clean, not so loud, quite enough for me. And also, I am happy that it is not plastic. So far, so good—no leakage.

My cat love to use this water fountain. Easy to fill, assemble and use. Cleaning takes only few minutes and what's most important all parts are easly to clean. Good water capacity. I can't recommend it more, worth money spent.

Great design but pump only lasted 6 months. Cannot find it as spare part

Having my cat wanting to drink from the taps rather than her bowl I decided to try a water fountain. This one seemed the most tap like and so far she loves it and doesn't ask for water from the kitchen tap. Brilliant buy and as others have said it runs very quietly and no splashing or dripping etc.

Cercavo una fontanella per i miei gatti. Quella precedente era in plastica, faceva rumore e si è rotta dopo un mese. Per provare ho preso questa in acciaio, ma giusto perchè il prezzo non era eccessivo. A distanza di mesi posso dire che funziona perfettamente, è talmente silenziosa da risultare praticamente impossibile da sentire, i gatti sono contenti. Si pulisce molto bene, tiene molta acqua (anche se consiglio di non riempirla al massimo) e quando è finita la pompa si ferma da sola, cosa che evita danni. L'alimentazione elettrica è un cavetto usb a 5v, quindi se si dovesse rompere l'alimentatore fornito con la fontanella si può tranquillamente sostituire copn un altro da "cellulari". Il filtro a carbone funziona perfettamente, intrappola le polveri e altre schifezze che possono finire nell'acqua, garantendo sempre acqua pulita. C'è un secondo filtro acqua anche sulla pompa, quindi sarà molto difficile che possa intasarsi. Che dire, ottima.
