Product OK but not OK for new pound coins
This product is great for sorting out my money into different sections (into the correct slots). It is quick and efficient to use and it does not take long for my money to go through. There is a catch to this Electronic Coin sorter, it does not take the new pound coins (it takes the old pound coins only). The new pound coins fall into the 10P tray which is next to the £1 tray. How do I get the Electronic Coin sorter to recognise the new pound coin??

Has trouble with the new £1 coin
The blurb says 'GENERAL USABILITY - The coin classifier can automatically count and sort all GBP sterling coins including 1P, 2P, 5P, 10P, 20P, 50P, 1 Pound and 2 Pounds'. Almost correct - it clearly has problems with the new £1 coin; approximately 30% of them end up in the 10p tray so you have to manually resort them which tends to negate the reason why I bought the thing in the first place. I notice other websites claim 'this machine is compatible with the new £1 coin' - which clearly it is not. It's a great shame as it's very robust and well made - just needs to be adapted to accept the new coinage. Needless to say it's going back. My advice is to wait until a later model becomes available.
