DownBeats Reusable High Fidelity Hearing Protection: Ear Plugs for Concerts, Music, and Musicians (Blue)

Recently purchased these ahead of going to a loud heavy metal concert and was very impressed with them. Took a while for me to get used to taking them out and putting them back in comfortably but I'm a big fan.I've previously tried a range of plugs, from Senner MusicPro's that I found too large for my ears, Vibes earplugs that I found slightly fiddly that really stuck out of my ears, as well as military style plugs that sit in the whole of the ear and could never get a nice fit with them either. These DownBeats work really well for what I need. A big thing for me was the level of discreteness that they bring, as they tuck in to the ear really well and don't stick out like other brands. A handy carry case is a massive plus too, and the small size of them so long as you're careful with them are fairly easy to use too. I find holding the stem of the earplugs whilst pushing forward the two flange tips help to securely fit them, especially when inserting them in darkly lit venues with hardly any visibility.Having been to many concerts over the years and still being in my 20's I have started to become more aware of ear protection after seeing others at gigs with them in, not to mention the minor ringing I was often left with after getting home from concerts. I used these Downbeats for the first time at a recent Gojira concert and they worked really well. Having tried other ear plugs only at home for fit/comfort, I will say that ear protection in general does take some getting used to at concerts, as the sound is significantly reduced by 15 or 20dB and therefore I'd describe the sound as muffled with these in, but you can still hear the drums/guitars/vocals. Ultimately the sound quality is not as great with these in as opposed to hearing clearly without them, but in the long run they will massively protect your ears from the effects of tinnitus and constant loud events. I had these in at the gig for around 2 hours and took them out at different times to compare the sound, and even with having these in for probably 70% of the night and going to watch an incredibly loud metal band, I returned home with no ringing in my ears whatsoever, which shows they've definitely done their job.I'd definitely recommend these to anyone looking for discrete, cheap and useful ear protection.

My girlfriend is a DJ, so I spend a lot of time in the booth with her, subjected to the loudest and harshest parts of the music she plays. I often come away from nights with ringing and sore ears. I bought these as I thought they would be worth a try and I'm so glad I did!They are so comfy and actually Reduce the loudness of the music, as opposed to the quality, my ears felt absolutely fine after spending the night in the DJ booth and I could still enjoy the music!Not to mention these come from Chicago and they arrived in less than a week. For the free delivery and the price of these you'd be silly to not buy them!

Brought for myself and boyfriend who is in a heavy metal band. Very handy case which I use on my keys/his guitar case. Discreet look when in place and limits about 50 percent of sound meaning I can listen to the gig, without the discomfort of high volumes and no ringing after!

I go to a lot of gigs and only decided to start wearing noise filters recently. The difference is remarkable. I read about Downbeats in Noise Mag and they compared very favourably to more expensive products. So far I've used mine loads and have no complaints. In fact, the music sounds much better with these as there's a lot less noise and the music is far more defined. I seem to be able to appreciate and enjoy the gigs much more than than my fellow gig-goers who don't use noise filters, so guess they must be working. The handy container is also great - I never forget to bring them as they're attached to my keyring and they're completely unobtrusive, so people don't even usually notice I'm wearing them until point it out.I'll def buy a second pair, just in case.

These work really well. They are comfortable and reduce noise level. The quality is great and easy to use. Would highly recommend.

tried these out at a recent gig, unfortunately they don't really live up to the description as they do affect the sound quality coming through which would ruin a gig if I wore them all the time, I will probably take them to the next concert I go to but will only use them if it gets really loud to protect my hearing.

I take to to every Gig I go to. You never know where you'll end up standing or quite how loud the venue is.They are very small an unobtrusive, so you can hardly see you are wearing them. The screw lid case is sturdy and made from metal, so you wont crush it.

I had er20's before these and I would constantly lose them because the stem was so long! I felt like I couldn't move without one falling out.These are great. Very short stem, the earplugs don't move or fall out. Very discreet. Comfortable. It doesn't even feel like you're wearing earplugs. Still easy to talk and hear people with them in. Easy to insert and remove. Sound quality sounds good. Tested them on 4 heavy bands last night and no ringing today.

Bought these for a music fesitval this summer, and they worked great. They were really comfortable all day, much better than foam earplugs. Did find that music quality was a bit better too. Like the low profile for the stems, have small hands, but found them easy to put in my ears and take them out. The carrying case is excellent, and it's nice that you can clip it to a zipper or your purse.If you go to concerts frequently, these are definitely worth the extra few bucks to have something that's comfortable and will last!

Una maravilla, los probé en un concierto de metal (Candelabrum fest) y la verdad, fue una experiencia inolvidable, los bajos se escuchaban muy nítidos, ningún grave que molestará, ni agudos que producen el clásico zumbido en los oídos.La combinación de escuchar todo tan claro y al mismo tiempo poder sentir las frecuencias subsónicas, fue increíble. Los volvería a comprar para tener un repuesto o regalarlos para fanáticos de conciertos.Muy cómodos, los traje más de 10 horas continuas, en ocasiones olvidaba que los estaba usando.Daba algo de comezón a ratitos y pues eso me recordaba que los traía, ya que descubrí que puedes estar platicando con los tapones puestos sin problemas.Sólo tener cuidado de no tirarlos, ya que son blancos y muy fáciles de perder .

La qualità del suono perde un pochino ma per il prezzo è migliore della media, nell' orecchio non danno fastidio ma la loro rimozione ed inserimento non è delle più rapide, sono pensate per rimanere salde al loro posto anche nelle situazioni più concitate; un bene perchè i tappini essendo cosi piccoli e trasparenti sono facili da perdere in giro e se cadessero per terra sarebbero impossibili da ritrovare durante un concerto od una serata in discoteca. Essendo in silicone una volta rimosso il filtro si lavano semplicemente immergendoli nell'acqua calda

These are very comfortable, easy to fit and work to minimise sound without mufflin too greatly. I use these to help with Noise sensativity / overwhelm and they are perfect at family gathering, loud pubs and clubs or noisy envionments. You can still hold a conversation with these in, though it does take a bit to get your own volume correct with these in. The screw top container is awesome. Very comparable to higher cost units. highly recommended.
