Fantastic! This is one of the least expensive timers of this nature on line but is one of the best. The timer requires two AA batteries to operate (not included). The time is very clear and EASY to set. When I attached it to the hose faucet, the screw in on faucet was short. There was a big leak. However, I discovered that they included four items for free. The plumbers tape did not address the connection but the washer they included worked like a charm! It took just a couple of minutes to install and works like clockwork!

This is a re-purchase of the same item that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I applied them at my farm, two of them for different areas of the garden, and they work superbly. Apparently, it is important to have them vertical so as not to have water into the bottom. This creates a problem sometimes during setup at your water nozzle. But, it can be done. If it doesn't fit right at your source connection, you can use a Y connector to fit it right. The instructions are very clear and well written, which is something I don't see very often. Set the time of day, the start time, the length of time to water, and the cycle time to the next watering. I set the current time, then the start time at 6:30 am, then the watering time to 30 minutes, then the cycle time of 12 hours. I have the ones at the farm programmed to water at 6:30 in the morning for 30 minutes and then at 6:30 in the evening for 30 minutes. I tested this at the farm, and it is working. Now I am setting up another system here to do the same thing. I have already tested it yesterday, and it is working just like the other ones. I installed one of these at the farm without the washer that is included in the package. And, it leaked really bad. Applying the washer totally fixed the problem. No leaks at all. I really like the manual option. While testing out my sprinklers, I needed to just have a couple of minutes of spray time to test the sprinklers. There is a button on this device that looks like a water faucet. You press it and you get an hour/minute option to press. You press the OK button to get to the minute area that starts at 1, and then just press the + button to increase it to about 2 or 3 minutes to do some manual testing of your setup. I have used this many times, and it works great, and is a good item on this product. Once the manual usage is done, it goes back to normal mode. One thing I noticed is that if you have it timed and you are doing a manual thing somewhere near the set automatic time, there can be some problem with the automatic time doing it's thing. It's not a big problem, but it happened to me, and I just had to adjust things here and there, and everything worked fine.\\ Update: 5-23-2025 I set up two more of these at my other residence today, and they work great. Like I said, as long as you have the washers in there and gobs of Teflon wrapped around the male connection, there is no leakage. You have to screw them on all the way, not using any tools, but just hand tightening, but you need to tighten it all the way until you cannot turn it anymore. Otherwise, it will probably leak water. After applying two of these at my farm, I became sort of an expert at doing it here at the other residence. I applied all of the above techniques of washers and Teflon, and when I turned it on, there was no leakage at all. Also, the settings were by this time locked in my brain, and it was so easy to set the time, start time, and such, without even having to think about it. Previous to this item, I bought a timer that was totally non-digital. It worked for a little while, but with the rain and all, it just did not last long. This timer is great. I have four of them now, and we will see how long they last. But, for now, they are working great.

This little timer works great! I bought it to use with my drip irrigation system in the flower beds out front, but I also use it on the garden hose when I add water to the pool. For the pool I just set the timer for about an hour and then I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn off the water.

Annoying and confusing set up procedure. Manual watering function appears not to work. 1. This unit is apparently intended for USA households. The unit’s mandatory use of 24 hour clock poor choice for USA households since 90-95% of USA households do NOT use the 24 hour (military clock). Annoying. 2. Very difficult to thread garden hose onto bottom of unit. Took 6 tries and all plumbers tape had to come off. But it does not appear to leak….so far. 3. Selecting how often you want unit to come in is counter intuitive. If you want it to come on every day of the week (which would be 7 days) do NOT select 7. Per my understanding of the instructions I assume you have to select “every 1 days” (1 day is singular and not 1 days which is plural). Will see if my assumption is correct over next few days. 4. Instructions say press and hold faucet button to manually water. I pressed it multiple times and held it for 3 seconds and nothing came on. Plus pressing manual/faucet button did not give me a choice of run time (how long it would run on manual) so I assume it would come on for the daily “how long time” previously selected (1 minute). I don’t know however since it never came on. 5. During set up you are instructed to press ok when you have entered the desired number EXCEPT after certain functions. Otherwise it reverts back to previous numbers entered. Confusing and annoying. May return. If the manual function does not work and if the unit does not come on everyday of the week I selected at the 08:30 time I selected ….and it does not run for the 1 minute I selected I may return it. Only thing clear and that is it’s definitely cheap.

Works as described! Bought this so I can be a little lazy and start my watering early in the AM hours ! It has been amazing. I did use the tape to make sure it doesn’t leak and it’s worked out as expected!

The only question I will have is a durability because I've only had the timers 1 day. Very easy to program for use. The knob labeling and the little screen makes it very intuitive. The size is good. So far I they meet all my expectations.

This works OK, but has a few flaws. Flaw #1, the "clock" on this doesn't keep accurate time. Probably something you'd want to be accurate in a "TIMER." Flaw #2, the box says "waterproof" but the IPX rating means it can survive some damp conditions, but probably won't do well in rain. Again, something you might want to correct on a device meant to control water flow. Flaw #3, and this is more personal preference. It runs the schedule based on time cycles. For example, I have it set to water for 45 minutes at 6:30am before the sun hits the garden. I can't set it for 10;00pm to water well after the sun has gone down. Instead I can pick when the cycle repeats, so if I set it for 14 hour cycles, in a few days I'll be watering the garden at the peak of the day. Maybe a "dual schedule" function would be better to actually water when makes sense. BUT, so far zero leaks, zero malfunctions. The bypass for rain or to turn on water manually is great! This item is far from perfect, but works well enough I'll keep it.

muy recomendable, funciona de maravilla, lo puse en un terreno para que se rieguen unos cítricos, y padrísimo , nos ahorra las vueltas.. Además es un plus que traiga la pantalla, asi puedes ajustar la hora y tienes la certeza que se activará a la hora que tu le indiques, asi como ver el indicador de las baterías.. No recomiendo los que solamente son de 1 ó 2 perillas (unos color verde), la verdad están muy chafas.. tienen toda la finta de productos chinos pero de los chafas. Ahora a mis arbolitos no les falta el agua a la misma hora :)
